It has been a week since the premiere and I was excited to see where the series went. I will say that I wasn't disappointed. It does seem like there are enough sub-plots that can make this series last for awhile.
This episode, like the first two episodes, has suspense and horror that satisfies me.
Jordan and Walker are looking for a way to detect who is infected and who isn't. Walker is obviously infected from the end of last episode and so when the test shows her as clean there is clear indication that the test doesn't work.
I didn't like that it doesn't seem like Walker know she's infected even though, from what happened at the end of last episode, she should've known that she wasn't well. I can understand trauma and lack of sleep but it still felt like a forced plot point that she wasn't sure. And when Alan can't tell that Walker is hiding something back I wanted to yell at the screen.
Though that might not be fair as I sort of read that Walker was hiding that she is infected from the others since, well, she doesn't want to be locked away. One of the conversations she has with Jordan seems to indicate that.
So maybe she just didn't want to admit to herself that she was infected and that made her not bring it up to anyone else.
One thing in the episode that was brought full circle was Alan shooting a gun. When someone shoots an infected woman and Alan yells at them for doing so, the person says that he would do the same if he had a gun.
So when Alan shoots the sa infected woman it's dramatic as he proved the person right and that's the moment Walker is faced with the fact that she is really infected.
And Boyle's adventure this week was being helped by the army guy that she's suspicious of but she's continuing to work with him since she sees it as the best option. They discover something while experimenting but have to hide their findings for now.
dun dun DUN!
I swear it's like only Alan isn't hiding a secret. At least for now.
