Black Adam (Mini-Review)

Black Adam is another movie set in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). In 2600 BCE Kahndaq had a tyrant king that was searching for a power beyond mortality. It was only when a boy wanted to rebel and was given the power of Shazam by wizards that he became a force to be reckoned with. He managed to kill the tyrant before disappearing. In the modern day, Archaeologist Adrianna Tomaz seeks the Crown of Sabbac. Her search leads to unleashing Teth-Adam. This in turn leads to Amanda Waller wanting to imprison Adam. With many people against him, Adam doesn't have time to adjust to modern day before needing to fight. Black Adam was released in 2022. It was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. It stars Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, and Sarah Shahi.

House of the Dragon Should Have Begun with Episode 6 (Dragon Cave Giveaway)

Update: This giveaway is over. I want to thank everyone who participated.

While the giveaway is over, feel free to discuss House of the Dragon. Would love to hear your opinions on the first Game of Thrones spinoff!

I decided to watch House of the Dragon for my blog since I've talked about Game of Thrones in the past. Plus I still continue to write fanfictions set in that world. So it seemed safe to bet that people would come to read my opinions on the new spinoff.

Now I never thought House of the Dragon would compare to Game of Thrones and just hoped for an enjoyable show. What made this show hard to enjoy was the time jumps every episode. It made it extremely hard to connect with the characters and events in the world.

Prior to Episode 6 I thought the show should have spent more time to cover the events in Episodes 1-5 but after Episode 6 that mindset changed. Since there were so many time jumps in the first five episodes and Episode 6 was like a pilot, Episode 6 should have been the first episode. This would have allowed the showrunners to put more of their focus on the Dance of Dragons, aka the Targaryen Civil War.

Of course changes to all episodes would have to be made to better fit this structure.
