I Have a Mouth and I Can’t Scream Chapter 2: A New Rain Falls

This is a Flight Rising fanfiction. All rights belong to the copyright holders.

This fic was originally published HERE.

Rain was rare in the Plaguebringer's territory. It didn't fall often and, when it did, it was not kind. My deity could bring destruction in a single raindrop and allow only the strongest to survive. Today it was raining and there was no cause for joy.

The first thing to notice about the rain was that it had a foul stench to it. If I had been in control of my body I would've passed out from the stench. As it was, I was forced to stay awake through the entire ordeal as Tarik found it more than humorous. At times he would laugh out loud with the other demons. Our pain amused them.

On Game of Thrones there are three powerful women that could claim the Iron Throne. Those three women have pasts where they've risen from their former positions.

Cersei Lannister was a woman and so was never supposed to rule the Seven Kingdoms. Her methods were less than moral and yet she finally sat on the seat she had so long dreamed of.

Sansa Stark decided she wanted to marry Joffrey Baratheon and was lead down a dark path. Her trials and tribulations taught her strength and she became a proud Lady of Winterfell.

Daenerys Targaryen was abused by her brother Viserys Targaryen. Her life changed when she was married to Khal Drogo. After his death she went on a path of attaining great power and finally made her way to Westeros.

All these women have their faults. All these women have their strengths.

The Last of the Starks (Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode Review)

After the battle against the Night King's army, the war for the Iron Throne continues. If there was better writing, this would be compelling television.

The Short Night Giveaway (Dragon Cave)

Update: This giveaway is over. I want to thank everyone who participated. If you can't wait until next giveaway you can go to the Dragon Cave Forums where people will trade and give away eggs. I am also more than willing to breed upon request.

While the giveaway is over, feel free to discuss Game of Thrones. If you blog about Game of Thrones go HERE to find out how to advertise on my blog.

For seven seasons, Game of Thrones built up the Night King and his army. They've shown by the first scene and the slow buildup, that the dead were the true enemy. That fighting for power is useless as it distracts from the true enemy.

The Game of Thrones Season 8 episode "The Long Night" was very anticlimactic after all the waiting. For a series that aims for well-rounded characters, the Night King stuck out as a sore thumb as he was a cliche evil villain. While Arya Stark killing him was awesome, it felt too quick and easy for such a terrifying creature.

As I feared, it seems as if the showrunners didn't explain the Night King as they'll lure viewers into the prequel series with the promise of an explanation.
