If you were going to get a tattoo, what tattoo would you get?

It'd be of a raven somewhere on my back.

Sushi, Sake, and Tanuki: A New Leaf 1

Location: Japan

I dodged the katana and shifted my arm into a tentacle. I used that to make the slave lose grip of his sword. As soon as that happened, another slave, who had previously dropped his katana, came to punch me in the neck. Without a second's thought I spun around and kicked him. When he was down the other slave bowed to me.

I shifted my tentacle back into a human arm and looked at the slaves that I had fought. They were poor practice but they did take my mind off of anything important. They allowed me to calm down.

"You may leave, slaves, I am through with you for today." I said and the injured got up weakly to bow to me. Then I left them and breathed in the fresh air by myself.

Walking through the main garden in Hijunaki's Palace, in my human form, I felt like I was home. What had happened before had passed, or at least I liked to think that it had. Every day I could do what I wanted except when Hijunaki called me to do something. I didn't try to resist him like I had done in the past.

While walking I saw two female slaves come near me. They were carrying food for Hijunaki or one of his creations. They came close enough for me to hear them. The two slaves didn't seem to care that I was there. One said, "Akumie is coming here. It will be interesting to see how Hijunaki handles a goddess being in his palace."

"Yes," The other one replied. "It will be nice to see Hijunaki put in his place for once."

I thought about reprimanding the slaves for disrespecting Hijunaki, but I remembered my own dislike of him. Though it was not as great as it had been before, it was still there. I let them pass and sat by a fountain.

After a few minutes I thought that today would be a good day to fly. Just as I was thinking about following through the thought with action, a slave came.

"Rig, Hijunaki orders you to come to him now." The slave said. I was momentarily angry that my second name, Katashi, was not formerly recognized.

I nodded to the slave and he lead me to Hijunaki.

James McTeigue’s Movie The Raven

Edgar Allen Poe is a famous author. He wrote such classics as 'The Raven' and 'The Tell-Tale Heart'. Now James McTeigue is making a fictional movie featuring Edgar Allen Poe (played by John Cusack). Specifically, the last five days of Edgar Allen Poe's life.

Now, how Poe ended up dying is a mystery but I highly doubt that it involved a murderer who used Poe's writings to help him/her murder people. That being said, it sounds like an interesting premise to a movie.

Also in the movie are Alice Eve and Luke Evans.

The Terminator (Part 4)

The Terminator is an average action flick but it does have something that makes it stand out from the rest.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (2011)

Title: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

Series: Harry Potter

Based on the Book: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Author: J.K.Rowling

Director: David Yates

Starring: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint

Rated: PG-13

Released: 2011

Rating: 4.5/5

Oscars: N/A

Basic Plot: Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley complete their mission of finding Voldemort's horcruxes which leads to Hogwarts coming under attack.

The Pacing of the Movie
In terms of keeping my interest, this movie does it the best. There was not one moment that I wasn't entranced in the movie. Yes, there are a few slow parts but they are few and far inbetween. Part of which leads to this fast pacing is the fact that Part 1 (and the rest of the series) help the audience prepare for this movie.

Loyalty to the Book
There were some changes from the book that I didn't like (why the Elder Wand was destroyed and the leaving out of the subplot where Harry Potter doesn't trust Dumbledore). However, it is still an enjoyable film even while looking at what was left out or changed.

Death Count in this Movie Goes Way Up
This Harry Potter film takes the cake for death counts. In Gringotts six or seven intelligent magical beings die. Go on to Hogwarts and the death count is raised even more. While that might sound depressing, a bunch of deaths aren't showed on screen. However, I still wouldn't take a little kid to see this movie.

Final Thoughts
I highly enjoyed this movie and was sad to see it end after all this time. There are a bunch of twists and turns in this movie that are very intriguing. One of these twists is about Severus Snape (which explains why he is my favorite character in the series). If you aren't a Harry Potter fan (or haven't seen any of the other movies) this movie probably won't be as good to you. This is due to the fact that the movie hardly takes any time to fill new people in to what is happening.

The Green: Illegal 1

I opened my eyes to the dark room. Turning over I saw that Plague was close by me and I sighed. Even though we now lived in a house, Plague insisted he wanted me to sleep in the same bed so that he could watch over me. Somehow I think his intentions weren't that noble. But I really didn't mind for a reason I couldn't yet comprehend.

I sat on the edge of the bed and wondered why I trusted Plague. For the two weeks we had traveled together I hadn't thought I should trust him so much. Or was I trusting him the right amount? It didn't really matter since I was stuck with him for awhile. Possibly for forever.

My stomach growled and I remembered that there were some leftovers in the fridge. Just as I got outside the bedroom, I heard the sound of someone breaking in. I looked around and was frustrated that there were no weapons around me. Add to that was the fact that the burglar had just entered the house.

Deciding to do the insane, I slowly walked to the back door where it sounded like the burglar had entered the house. The burglar stopped moving as I came closer. When I was finally able to see him by the moonlight, I had to dodge a bullet. The sound was quieted greatly since he was using a silencer.

I lay still as the man came closer and closer towards me. His face was covered and I imagined his face showed no emotion because he felt none. I shivered and hoped that the burglar wouldn't get nervous and shoot at me again. When the man was close enough I kicked at him and he fell down with a grunt. For a few seconds we hit and kicked each other. It seemed like the burglar was weaker than I thought, but he still managed to win the fight.

As the burglar stood up he picked up his gun and looked at me. The gun shook so slightly in his hands that I thought I was imagining the movement. I closed my eyes so I could prepare myself for the end. Even though I hadn't been able to really experience life, life didn't seem to care. I heard a gunshot and then the burglar yelled while falling down.

I opened my eyes and looked at Plague who wore a look that would make the Devil cringe. Luckily it was directed at the burglar and not me. "Thanks." I said to Plague and then looked at the burglar.

I walked over to him and took off his mask. The burglar's middle aged face was in pain from the gunshot wound.

"Please," He moaned in fear. "I only need money for the cure for my wife. Please understand."

Suburban Knights (2011)

Title: Suburban Knights

Director: Doug Walker

Starring: The Major Members of the website ThatGuyWithTheGlasses (aka TGWTG)

Rated: N/A

Released: 2011

Rating: 5/5

Oscars: N/A

Basic Plot: The Nostalgia Critic has his crew of reviewers go on a quest to find Malachite's Hand. To do this they all must dress up as a fantasy character that is involved with some sort of quest.

The Humor
The humor in this third year anniversary movie was very well done. Scenes that are supposed to make me laugh make me laugh. However, there is a dark side to this movie and it messes with the humor a little bit. While this would seem to be a bad thing, it doesn't affect it to such a degree that it ruins the movie.

Cast as Fantasy Characters
Benzaie was perfect as Conan the Barbarian (a movie that he is very highly fond of). Other cast members I could see the characters they were playing to fit a little bit with them. Still others I couldn't see how the Fantasy characters fitted their persona. Each played their part well no matter how odd the fit.

The Death of Ma-Ti
Ma-Ti has been a character that has been given no respect ever since he first appeared (yes, he is the character from Captain Planet). But in this movie he is finally given a moment to shine as he is the one to defeat Malachite. Ma-Ti's death was very unexpected for me and I liked the pain that it caused me.

Final Thoughts
I admit my opinion of this is skewed since I am a TGWTG fan. That being said, I think that non-fans can get something out of this movie. There will probably be a DVD of this coming out but you can view it free at the That Guy With The Glasses website.

Jumper (Steven Gould)

Title: Jumper

Author: Steven Gould

Released: 1992

Rating: 3/5

Basic Plot: David Rice discovers he has the ability to teleport.

Different From Movie
This book is very different from the movie version. I have watched an in-depth review of the movie and they are two very different things. For those who hate the movie, don't pass this book up because of it.

Teleporting/Jumping Rules
The fact that there are rules that cause obstacles for David is very good. The greatest one being where he can and can't teleport. This is the cause of David having to do actual work to be able to teleport somewhere.

Enemies Are Outside and Inside David
What I mean by that is that David faces conflicts that are internal and external. David has to face off against terrorists and Brian Cox (NSA). While doing this he has to make sure he doesn't turn into the type of people he's fighting against. This causes some good conflict and makes the character of David a little more life like.

Final Thoughts
I know some of you might be thinking of Nightcrawler when hearing that there is teleportation involved. However, I don't think one character has claims over a certain ability. This is very senseless to assume. The book's story goes along at a decent pace and it isn't boring (though it might be a little slow for some).

Problems with HP7 Part 2 (jashycam 27)

Which poet laureate? And did this poem win anything or get any other kind of recognition?

I can't remember his name. He was from Tampa, Florida. There was no other formal recognition from it except being published in my college literature magazine.

Ask me anything

What would you consider your greatest accomplishment? What are you most proud of?

Greatest accomplishment? That's very hard to define since I've accomplished things in my relationship, writing, and other parts of my life. I'm most proud of writing a sonnet that was complimented by a poet laurete.

No. He was a Jedi.

Which token black Star Wars character was better: Lando Calrissian, Mace Windu or Jar Jark Binks?

Lando Calrissian hands down. Mace Windu was cool but never really added up to much. Jar Jar Binks I didn't mind as much as everyone else, but he still sucked. Lando is very cool, has a history with Han Solo, and helps blow up the second Death Star!

The Tourist (2010)

Title: The Tourist

Director: Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck

Starring: Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie, and Paul Bettany

Rated: PG-13

Released: 2010

Rating: 2.5/5

Oscars: 0

Basic Plot: Frank Tupelo visits Italy and meets Elise who puts him into a situation that endangers his life.

The Twist Ending
I have already covered this in a video, but I will repeat some of what I said here: it makes no sense. This is really the downfall of the entire movie. This is the point that nearly ruined the entire movie for me. It turns out that Frank is really Alexander. It's a good twist in that it's shocking, but it hardly has any evidence to back it up. I guessed that Frank was Alexander about half-way through, but that was merely because I was thinking of shocking twists that the movie might pull.

The Visuals are Good
Venice, Italy is beautiful and the way that the movie is shot enhances that movie. If you want a movie that is nice to look at, this is a good movie to watch because of that. There was not one scene that didn't look good (either because of the setting or the actors). This is the saving grace of the movie.

Action is Decent
While there is a good amount of action in this movie, I didn't feel that impressed with it. I wasn't on the edge of my seat waiting impatiently to see what happened next. The only action scene I was really into was the one at the end where Frank/Alexander is walking to the vault.

Final Thoughts
This, to me, is a very artistic film. More effort seemed to be put into the visuals than the action. What is bad about that is that this movie is dependent on action. Since it doesn't fair too well in the action department the movie fails a little bit because of that. I don't recommend this movie unless you want to fool your friends into believing you have some sense of taste.

I am a big science fiction fan and I like the sub-genre of sci-fi that involves what happens after the end of the world. The Terminator series has both. Besides that the characters and trials they face interest me very much.
