Ups the Stakes
Yes, the world being invaded with the leadership of Loki isn't a small thing. However, the threats in the sequel are more personal. Ultron has the personality of Tony Stark so it's already personal to begin with. Plus Scarlett Witch's powers is having characters experience their worst fears. Making characters have to battle themselves as well as the threat of Ultron. And, really, battling yourself so you can sleep each night is a huge thing.

The Twins Debate
Now Wanda and Pietro (aka Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver) have had their origins changed from the comics. I would like to remind everyone reading this review that it was done out of legal reasons. The Twins in the MCU can't be mutants so they had to get their powers somehow. Also, Wanda is the stronger of the two so go women!

Andy Serkis
Okay, I just am amazed when I see the man as a non-CGI character. I'm used to seeing him as Gollum from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies as well as Caesar from the Planet of the Apes prequel movies. So seeing him as a human is odd but good. And I believe what happens to him sets up events in the Black Panther movie.

Final Thoughts
This was a great movie and a good sequel. I was expecting the movie to be much darker from the trailers, but it wasn't as dark as I was expecting. That's not a bad thing, but it was a little odd to say the least. Ultron is less of a villain and more like a whiny child so he wasn't as threatening to me. Of course I'm someone who doesn't get the hype about Darth Vader so...yeah. If you're looking for a good time and wanting to catch up with the Avengers, I highly recommend this film.
