Best Season Yet
I know that people had their problems with this season, but I highly enjoyed the pacing. Characters' storylines ended too soon, but I was sad and not disappointed. The season didn't drag on and it didn't end too soon. Both were problems of past seasons. The only part that dragged on too much was the end of Elsa's story, but we did need to see how she ended up and it also managed to show us how the surviving characters were doing.

Twisty the Clown
Now, as I've mentioned before on this blog, I am deathly afraid of clowns. Clowns are never funny to me, they're always terrifying. Which made a killer clown okay for me and I was able to handle him better than 'funny' clowns. Twisty also gets an extremely moving backstory which was very unexpected and well done.

Real Freaks Starred in this Season
Some of the freaks weren't the result of good make-up and special effects, they were shown as they were. Added to that were some videos released of interviews with those members of the cast. They were able to tell their story. That's really one of the best things to come out of this season.

Final Thoughts
I am extremely happy about this season and hope that the show just keeps getting better. A more solid plot could help things out for future seasons. But this one never felt like it stopped major storylines, nor did it stay past its welcome. I loved the performances by everyone and the ending of Dandy's storyline was well worth the wait. Matt Bomer did have a cameo this season and he also starred in another of Murphy's projects: The Normal Heart.
