Talking With Cynthia D Kline

What was the inspiration for writing The Wake Up Call?

Going through 5 months from Diagnosis of my Fiancé to his death from Rapid Declining Dementia in LA, and going broke as he used up every last cent!

I still took care of him as his Fiancé and Advocate after a 15 year relationship.

This is Love.

What was the writing process like for The Wake Up Call?

Cathartic and heart breaking at the same time.

What music did you listen to while writing The Wake Up Call?

Interesting...

I always listen to SADE.

What was your favorite scene in The Wake Up Call to write?

He was my own personal Einstein- the most brilliant Asperger man I ever met.

Until he lost every thought to DEMENTIA.

What was the hardest scene in The Wake Up Call to write?

The Beginning of the End of Knowing Me.

He's starting to not remember me, after 15 years of bliss...the DEMENTIA has melted his beautiful mind.
