Peter Capaldi Nails It
This is Capaldi's first time as the Doctor and he does a superb job at the role. Besides his acting abilities, the fact is that he's a huge Doctor Who fan himself. That makes it somewhat hilarious that he got the role. Capaldi is able to bring a darker and more serious Doctor to the small screen. It seems some people were upset that Capaldi was old. Newsflash: The Doctor is an ancient being, so Capaldi is a newborn compared to his age.

Clara is More Developed
While I have always had a place in my heart for Clara, this Season really puts her on an entirely different level than before. For some reason she just seems to be more of a person, more of a character, this season. I am glad she was more fleshed out as it gave me an entirely new reason to love this character.

Strong Setup, Weak Payoff
While I loved the Season Finale, there was a lot more that seemed to be promised in the Premiere. We find out what 'Paradise' is, but it doesn't make sense why robots would be wanting to go there. It was an interesting reveal, but the thing is that the setup needs to make the payoff worth it. In this case, the payoff wasn't as good as what I was hoping.

Final Thoughts
Peter Capaldi was better than this Season and I hope next Season will be worthy of him. I am excited to see this year's Christmas special and I really hope it's a good one. Maybe even if it's bad, Capaldi can turn it into gold. I also want to thank Omar, Kheetor84, and JimB for being in the Jash Talks Special that reviewed this Season (found HERE). You were loads of fun to work with for that episode, as you always are.
