Becoming the Dragon is the first book of The Dragon Inside series by Alex Sapegin. The book tells the story of a boy who eventually becomes a dragon. Before the actual story starts Sapegin tells the reader not to share the e-book but to have everyone buy their own copies. Maybe it's just me being a big bookworm, but I've always found sharing books to be a way of bonding. That started my reading experience off a little sour.
One problem Sapegin has is putting in flashbacks where they don't need to me. What I mean by that is that if he had only structured the book a little differently he wouldn't need the flashbacks, or at least cut the number in half. As is, it sometimes felt like I was hitting a brick wall every now and again.
On the positive side the worldbuilding is done well. Except when Sapegin introduces a new creature and only later describes it. Now if this happened only when the book was shown from Andy's Point of View, this would be understandable. But it happened when shown from the Point of View of characters who know the world.
All in all it is an enjoyable little read if you like fantasy.
