Two Main Problems I Have with Kindle Vella

I've had problems getting original short stories and series into the public eye. The main problem is that I love writing fanfiction (aka fanfic) and have ended up with some fanfics whose outlines have been saved until I have time to write them.

When I heard of Kindle Vella before its release, I grew excited. Here was a way that I could get stories of mine out into the public eye just like I did my fanfics. I could release chapter by chapter which meant I could get reviews sooner. Though on Kindle Vella chapters are called episodes for some reason.

The Last Wish (Mini-Review)

The Last Wish is one of two short story collections set before Andrzej Sapkowski's The Witcher novels. The framing device for this short story collection is that the famed Witcher Geralt of Rivia is healing from a serious wound he acquired on one of his many adventures. While healing he recalls past adventures of his, including the one that gave him his current injury.

Exploring The Betrayal (Part 6)

It's been stressful tonight. There's no one blaming me of witchcraft or unleashing a bloodline curse on me. But insects that shouldn't be inside the house are getting in somehow. revrezner is doing a more than outstanding job on keeping the problem under control.

Due to using pesticides inside the house, the birds were locked inside their cages earlier than normal. And, no, they were not happy about that. I'm sure I'll be hearing more about their displeasure in the morning.

Now let's get back to reading The Betrayal by R.L.Stine!

Exploring The Betrayal (Part 5)

It doesn't seem like my health issues will get resolved this year. One of my doctors seems to be more of a hindrance than anything else but isn't one that is easily replaceable. He's a good doctor but isn't doing a good job of figuring out what's wrong with me. Let's hope I'm wrong about this and next visit he'll have a solution.

I love writing as it helps me escape from my not good life. So having that mode of escapism gone just...is not good for my mental health. Hopefully sometime next year I'll be back to normal!

Now instead of me voicing all my woes, let's get back to reading The Betrayal by R.L.Stine!

Exploring The Betrayal (Part 4)

So much has happened since last I made one of these posts. I had a lumbar puncture that...didn't go as planned and required a blood patch. Which also meant I had to be bedridden for a little over a week. It is maddening to be a writer and be unable to do the one thing you're talented at.

I'm glad to be back but it's looking doubtful that my medical problems will be resolved by the end of the year. Basically different doctors don't communicate well and they make their appointments months apart. So while I have been suffering for around half a year, nothing moves faster because of that.

But enough of my hatred of the United States' medical system, let's get back to reading The Betrayal by R.L.Stine!
