Star Wars is a series that spans many movies, books, video games, and other media. It is a series that captured the imaginations of many around the world. The movies focus on the classic struggle of good versus evil with mystical warriors at the forefront.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens was able to reawaken the Star Wars movies. After the prequels came out I grew worried that any Star Wars movie could be good again. I was happy to see that The Force Awakens proved me wrong.
Today I'm going to be looking at a possible incest ship. I say possible as we don't know the exact genealogy of Rey and Kylo Ren. It is possible that they aren't related and yet it's equally possible that they are related.

Shipping Confessions: Jorah Mormont/Daenerys Targaryen (Game of Thrones)
Game of Thrones is an extremely compelling television series. It has action, drama, love, and the ability to tear your heart out of your chest only for you to come back next week. Villains and heroes aren't clear cut which is always a good thing to see. The reason I love the Animorphs book series, among other reasons, is because it does the same thing of having the line between good and evil be heavily blurred.
There are many plot lines in the show and in the books there are even more. I am waiting until the tv series is done to read the books so I'm only going off of what I have heard from the book readers. Anyways...one of the many plot lines is Daenerys Targaryen amassing an army to reclaim the Iron Throne for her House. The Iron Throne is the seat where the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms sits.
Today I will discuss a ship I was shipping even before I started watching the show. Yes, I was shipping Daenerys Targaryen and Jorah Mormont long before I watched the first episode of Game of Thrones.

Shipping Confessions: Poe Dameron/Finn (Star Wars)
The Star Wars prequels lowered everyone's expectations of what the series could offer. After the prequels George Lucas seems like a much less impressive name than before. No one can take away his past accomplishments but they can doubt how good he is now.
Luckily The Force Awakens woke the Star Wars name up to something great. People can say that The Force Awakens is a copy of A New Hope, but it would be hard to deny the new film being a breath of fresh air from the prequels.
I don't hate the prequels, but they were leagues below the Original Trilogy.
So today I will talk about the love between Poe Dameron and Finn. This non-canon ship was very easy for me to let join my armada.

Shipping Confessions: Elfangor/Loren (Animorphs)
Here is another, very rare, canon ship. This time from the Animorphs series. But Loren and Elfangor-Sirinial-Shamtul is a couple that has very far reaching effects in the Animorphs series, as well as being dear to my heart.
With this ship there aren't only two lives affected, but the lives of the Animorphs themselves.
There will be some big spoilers in this part of Shipping Confessions so if you haven't read The Andalite Chronicles and #49, stop reading and only continue after you've read those two books in the series.
For all those who don't mind spoilers or have read the books, let's start talking about Loren and Elfangor in full.

Shipping Confessions: Coulson/Skye (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.)
I am a Joss Whedon fan. Yes, I am a Whedonite. So when I heard about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. it wasn't merely it expanding on the MCU that interested me about it, but the fact that Whedon was in charge of it. As a Whedonite I have to check everything out by him and I haven't been disappointed by him once (I'll finally get to watching all of Dollhouse, I promise, very nerdy reason I didn't before but that's for another post).
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. follows the adventures, and misadventures, of Phil Coulson's team. For the first season the big mystery was how Coulson was alive. Now that that has been answered there are still a lot of mysteries to be solved.
Now I guess one of my things with ships is the whole master/apprentice relationship. I don't know why, but I really enjoy those dynamics in ships. Such is the case with the non-canon ship I'll be talking about today.
I will be talking about the non-canon pairing of Phil Coulson and Skye/Daisy Johnson today.

Shipping Confessions: Tobias/Bruce Banner (Animorphs/The Avengers)
Well this is a new thing to be covered on Shipping Confessions. This is the first ever crossover ship covered in this series! Now crossover ships are not a new thing and there is a whole section on fanfiction.net for these types of fanfics. You just take characters from one or more series and then you put them together. Awhile back I wrote a post about how Tobias and Bruce Banner were similar. Well that connection between the two eventually lead me to shipping the pair.
I joked about shipping them and then I seriously started shipping them, proving that I can't do crackships (aka ships that you joke for fun but don't truly believe).
Animorphs is a series about six teenagers, one being an alien, trying to stop an alien invasion until backup can arrive. It's actually very dark and deep for a YA series.
The Avengers is a movie where superheroes team up to stop an alien invasion.

Shipping Confessions: Michonne/Rick (The Walking Dead)
I am not a huge zombie fan. I'm not one of those people that needs to be up to date about everything zombie related. There are only a few zombie related things that I feel any great longing for. First is World War Z by Max Brooks which is written like War of the Worlds but with zombies, Z Nation which I originally started watching purely for seeing DJ Qualls each week, and The Walking Dead tv show.
The Walking Dead follows Rick Grimes and his adventures to keep himself and his band alive in the post-apocalyptic world filled with walkers (the show's word for zombies). The show also spends time on other characters and sub-plots.
Today I'll be looking at the non-canon pairing of Rick Grimes and Michonne.

Shipping Confessions: Steve/Natasha (The Avengers and Captain America 2)
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (aka MCU) is wonderful. It started as just Iron Man and has branched off into different superheroes as well as crossovers between one or more series. Such as The Avengers was a crossover between all the current superheroes.
Captain America (as seen in Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier) is an old fashioned hero with ideals that the world he is thrown into doesn't seem to have. He wants to protect the world as he tries to understand it. That's what his storylines mainly focus on.

Shipping Confessions: Luna/Harry (Harry Potter)
Harry Potter is a series I highly enjoy. Even though it does have its problems, I will continue going back to it time and again. It treats children as adults and shows them that friendship is very important. Even though good doesn't always have such a happy ending, it is nice to see a happy ending every now and again.
Harry Potter is about the title character going through trials, tribulations, and helping to defeat Lord Voldemort. The majority of the series focuses on the wizard school of Hogwarts.

Shipping Confessions: Joan/Moriarty (Elementary)
Well we're sticking with Elementary as there's one other ship in the series that I'm really into. It makes it sad, then, that one of the characters in the ship only has four appearances in the show in total.
The ship is between Joan Watson and Jamie Moriarty. It took me until the second season to decide that I liked their personalities and not just how the pair of them looked together.
In the last Shipping Confessions I talked about Joan Watson so I'll talk about her first here.
Joan is a very resourceful woman who is able to deal with Sherlock Holmes. In the first season she is a big reason why Moriarty was captured. She is able to think in times of a crisis and help those too close to a situation.
While she might seem to many to be easily overlooked, she shouldn't be underestimated. While Sherlock seems to be the ultimate brains, she can go toe to toe with him. Hell, it wasn't for nothing that Sherlock chose her as his protege.
She is a very empathic person. Hence why she quit her job as a surgeon and ended up becoming a sober companion. She truly cares for people.
Jamie Moriarty is first introduced to us as Irene Adler and is only later revealed to be the master criminal. I will say that the twist of Irene just being an alias left a bad taste in my mouth, but I'm okay with it. However, how quickly Sherlock believed the lie when we met Moriarty in Season 1...still don't like it. Though he was in love and so there's a little bit of leniency there.
Moriarty herself is a very interesting character. It is shown that she is willing to do what is necessary to get something done.
Her decision to string Sherlock Holmes along was done because his mind was interesting to her.
As Moriarty told Sherlock:
"My first instinct was to kill you. Quietly-discreetly. But then, the more I learned about you, the more... curious I became. Here, at last, seemed to be a mind that rivaled my own, something too complicated and too beautiful to destroy. At least, without further analysis."
So, yeah, she can be uncaring when something intrigues her.
This isn't to say that Moriarty is cruel beyond all reason. She has a daughter she left because her job as a criminal mastermind took precedence over any life she could give her child. But when her child is threatened she makes sure her child is safe first hand.
Moriarty and Joan are on opposite sides when they first meet. It was really their conversation at the restaurant in Season 1 that made me start liking the idea of this ship. There was just such a raw energy between those two in that scene that it made me very happy.
In that scene there were two women that were powerful, though in different ways and with different morals, so I wanted to see more of them together.
In Season 2 it was more apparent that the pair could work well together. They still retained that same energy and now they had had much more time to consider each other. Moriarty even admits that she finds Joan more interesting and intelligent than at first. Feelings and emotions have had time to grow.
Both characters are smart and I would so love to see Moriarty return just to see her interact with Joan some more. Because when both characters are on screen together things explode at the awesomeness of it. And that's really why I ship them, there's just this raw energy between them every time they're together.
What will I talk about next Shipping Confessions? I go to Rosewood to look at a ship in the Pretty Little Liars tv series between a smart girl and a girl that has a thing for older men.

Shipping Confessions: Sherlock/Joan (Elementary)
There are some ships that make me glad I don't write for certain shows. Sometimes not having a ship I love canon can be the best thing. There are many different types of relationships and they should be shown. People need to know that no matter your gender/sex you always have the option to just be friends with someone.
The ship I will talk about today is from the show Elementary which is a modern adaptation of the classic Sherlock Holmes stories. It takes place in New York. One of the many changes the show made is that John is now a woman called Joan.
The ship for today is between Sherlock Holmes and Joan Watson. It's a ship that is so canon that it should be canon.
Sherlock Holmes is a brilliant detective but he has problems working with people. It's like he understands the rules but doesn't know why he should have to follow them. For the longest time he kept on waking Joan up instead of staying out of her room until she woke up on her own.
Sherlock is also an ex-addict and has problems dealing with his addiction. That's why Joan got involved with him in the first place as she used to be a sober companion. At the end of the second season it seems likely that Sherlock will relapse.
Sherlock is not good with keeping and making friends, but he's great at what he does so he always gets back in the good graces of people. He also has a kind heart that is hard to see.
Joan Watson is a former surgeon who quit due to one of her patients dying. What she does after quitting is become a sober companion. So with her job alone you know she wants to help people and is able to deal with difficult people.
Joan ends up becoming Sherlock's protege and she seems to have quit being a sober companion for now. She proves herself to be brilliant and finds ways to deal with Sherlock. When she is captured near the end of Season 2, she is willing to help try and save one of her enemies.
She is kind, tough, and smart. She is a great combination of all three.
Sherlock and Joan work very well together. It helps that Joan doesn't take any shit from Sherlock. She is more than able to put her foot down when she has to. She likes him but that doesn't mean she has to bow down to everything he does. Sherlock, in turn, respects the boundaries Joan sets down. He is able to learn and grow from her guidance.
Sherlock has a deep respect for Joan. He knows there's something special about her. He knows that she is smart and intelligent as well as beautiful. And, really, it's only the first two that would make Sherlock take Joan under his wing.
When Joan gets captured, Sherlock reacts very strongly. More strongly than if Joan was just a friend or just something he used to help him solve cases. It was like he was in love with her. At the end of the first season Sherlock names a new species of bees Watsonia after Joan.
At the end of the second season there is a sub-plot of Joan needing to move out of the apartment. Sherlock gives a very impassioned speech to her that seems very far from the viewpoint of just a friend.
Canonically Sherlock and Joan are just friends, but I see them as something much more.
What will I talk about next Shipping Confessions? We will stick in the realm of Elementary and look at a wise protege and a master criminal.

Shipping Confessions: Hannigram (Hannibal tv series)
I have no clue why I haven't talked about this ship sooner since I ship it very hard. It is one of those ships that me, and other shippers, think should be canon. Behind the scenes, Bryan Fuller has stated it's canon but not in a sexual sense. For me, I ship it with sex included.
The ship is from the show Hannibal which is about Will Graham solving crimes and his relationship to the cannibal Hannibal Lecter. The series is extremely well done in every aspect. Including casting choices and visuals.
The ship I will be talking about today is Hannigram (aka between Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham). It is one of those ships that is so twisted it is a joy for me but not something I'd support in real life.
Will Graham is an FBI agent who is extremely empathetic. It is his gift and his curse. He fears that because he can understand killers so well that he will become a killer. In the Second Season you get a glimpse of Will going dark.
Will also has things to occupy him outside of the workplace. This includes fishing and his endless collection of stray dogs. We only learn the name of one of his dogs over the course of two seasons (Winston) which makes writing fanfiction about his dogs hard.* The only times we see him fly fishing are in his 'dream palace'. His love of fishing was also one of the reasons he was falsely accused and arrested for Hannibal's murders.
Will is a very kind man and he only does his job because he wants to help people. Even if that includes endangering his psyche on a daily basis.
Hannibal Lecter is on the other end of the spectrum from Will. Hannibal has a moral code so he's not a complete monster, but he is still not a little angel either. The first thing Hannibal cares about is himself. If anyone gets in his way or threatens him, he will kill them. Even if he loves them or considers them a dear friend. The Season 2 finale made that clear.
Hannibal is very good at playing people and making them look at one thing while he does something completely different. He makes people think he's there for them only to betray them later. Again, Hannibal does have a code so he doesn't do things just to be cruel. He does things to survive which are cruel.
Hannibal is, of course, a cannibal. But he doesn't kill just to kill. He prefers to 'eat the rude', but he is also able to eat those who get in his way. Over the course of the series, so far, he has made human flesh look very appetizing. His cooking, like the rest of his interests, is very prim and proper. He doesn't just prepare a meal, he prepares a show.
Hannibal is attracted to Will because he sees a kinship in him. Hannibal knows that Will is one of the few people that would ever truly understand him. Hannibal is lonely and wishes for friendship even while he is really horrible at making friends. Because of his perverted idea of friendship, he isn't good at a real relationship.
So Hannibal and Will's relationship is already on rocky ground because Hannibal isn't honest nor does he treat Will fairly. Hannibal's thoughts is that he is opening up Will to his true potential. Another of the nicknames for this ship is 'Murder Husbands' which sums up how Hannibal wants the relationship to go.
While Hannibal is cruel, he does have a kind side. In Season 2, when Will knows what Hannibal is, things get a little more flirty. For lack of a better word. They get very close to each other and even in the Season 2 finale you can see that both are sorry for the ways things had to be. But Hannigram, at the end of the day, isn't a stable relationship at all.
Will does like Hannibal even though he knows that the cannibal isn't good for him. He warns the killer in the Season 2 finale that Jack is coming so that Hannibal can make his escape. Even while Will is pretending to be Hannibal's friend, there is a part of him that loves the man.
One scene that occurs in Season 1 is very sexually charged with Hannibal coming forward and Will going back against a ladder. In Season 2 Will says he wants to kill Hannibal with his hands and the cannibal seems a little turned on at the thought.
If you don't ship Hannigram because you're disturbed by it, I totally understand. It is not a happy ship and if you're one of the people that only ship ships that you would in real life, I can totally understand you not shipping this. But if you're a fellow Hannigram shipper, you have nothing to be ashamed of.
What will I talk about next Shipping Confessions? From the show Elementary I'll show you the best detective and his protege.
*= Someone on Facebook has told me that we do know the name of one other of Will's dogs: Buster.

Shipping Confessions: Cassie/Rachel (Animorphs)
And yet again we find ourselves back in the Animorphs series. I must admit that I should've given myself a little more time before talking about this ship. While I remember some good parts, there is the fact that it isn't as fresh in my mind as it should be. Especially since both characters grow and change throughout the series.
This is a ship where opposites attract. Hell, before the series started they were both good friends already.
The ship is Cassie and Rachel.
Cassie is one of those characters that is hated by the majority of the fandom and I don't understand why. She is the moral center of the group and commits some heinous acts, but that makes her realistically flawed and not someone that shouldn't be in the series.
Cassie is the one to discover the Yeerk Peace Movement (YPM) and helps the YPM Leader (Aftran) escape from being killed. She is the one to ask the others about their actions and so makes it so that the surviving Animorphs aren't so badly scarred at the end of the war. It's really only herself, Marco, and Ax that fare the best despite her best efforts.
Cassie is the one to help provide morphs and information on animals to the group. Without her it wouldn't be as easy to get morphs or figure out what morphs they should use. Yes, she did make mistakes like the ant morph, but she usually helps the group very well.
Cassie is a very plain looking girl and doesn't think too highly about her appearance. She is also a POC (specifically African American) and the books that she narrates clearly show her skin color on the covers.
Rachel is the opposite of Cassie. She turns into the weapon that the other Animorphs use as she will do what is necessary to win. This makes her a very bloody character and people often only see that side of her.
Throughout the series she questions how she is changing. She thinks about how she loves the war. So it isn't like she is a ruthless fighter without a conscience. She knows that she's a violent character and even reflects on how the others use her.
Rachel is the one to die and it actually makes sense. She is the one that lived for the war so her not living seems to be the better option. Of course her death affects Tobias so much that he ends up living in the wilderness after the war.
Rachel is always described as a model and so that helps to hide the fact that she is very vicious.
Rachel and Cassie were friends prior to them entering into the war. While they are opposites they very much fit one another.
Even though they have their fights during the series, including Rachel pointing out the fact that Cassie is afraid to become like her, they are always there for each other. No matter how far they get from each other, emotionally, they will always care about each other.
Cassie and Rachel are the opposite of each other and yet they care for each other deeply. From risking their lives for each other to simple things like recording shows.
It's always funny to see Rachel and Cassie talk about clothing. Rachel is one of those people that is very sophisticated when it comes to shopping while Cassie doesn't really know or care about fashion. So it's good that Cassie has a friend like Rachel who can help her with the more mundane things like dressing herself.
If Rachel had survived the war, Cassie could help her emotionally. Cassie could be there to remind her that she is a good person and that she'll always be there for her. I don't think Rachel would ever fully recover, but with a person like Cassie she could at least have a chance at enjoying life.
What will I talk about next Shipping Confessions? One ship that is so canon that it should be canon. A cannibal and an empathetic man from the tv series Hannibal.

Shipping Confessions: Ryan Hardy/Mike Weston (The Following)
I don't watch many non-sci-fi or fantasy shows. Mostly I watch shows like Doctor Who or Continuum. Hardly is there a show that goes outside my usual fare that I watch. The Following is one of those rare shows that makes me go outside my usual fares.
It deals with a cult leader, Joe Carrol, escaping and then causing chaos.
The ship I will be focusing on this time is will be Ryan Hardy and Mike Weston. One cop that has an obsession with Joe while Mike is learning from the man.
We'll start off with Ryan Hardy.
Ryan Hardy was the one to catch Joe Carrol. At the beginning of the series Ryan is an alcoholic and I don't believe he had been working with the FBI for awhile. Or at least he wasn't stable. By Season 2 he isn't an alcoholic but still has his obsession with Joe Carrol continues.
Ryan's obsession with catching Joe forms the basis of his personality.
Ryan is also an agent who bends rules when it suits him. He has a sense of morality, but it seems he is always toeing the line. It's like Ryan will cross the line into a villain at the drop of the hat. Luckily that isn't the case.
Unfortunately Ryan's actions in Season 1 fuels Mike Weston to toe the line.
Mike Weston and Ryan quickly form a bond. Mike picks up lessons from Ryan and that really helps fuel for the character change in Season 2.
In Season 2 Mike lets out his darker actions. While in Season 1 Mike was able to curb his own desires and hold back Ryan, in Season 2 it is Mike who needs to be restrained. He starts to get more violent when he beats up one of the twins and then derails when he kills Gray.
Gray's death is one tense scene where I was hoping and dreading what was going to happen. Afterwards, Mike seems to recover himself but it will be interesting to see how he reacts in Season 3 after Season 2's events.
Ryan and Mike's relationship is one that forms rather quickly. As time goes on Mike uses Ryan's actions as excuses for his own. He points out that Ryan does something and therefore he can. This is a very childish thing to claim. In Season 2 it allows Mike to justify doing certain things.
When Mike's father is murdered he breaks down. Ryan does what he can to comfort the man. I think this is because Ryan knows what Mike will do if he allows his emotions to get the better of him. It is Ryan's own obsession that allows him to be sympathetic to what Mike is going through. Ryan knows how an obsession can get the better of you and slowly destroy your life.
Mike and Ryan are able to feel for each other even when they disagree. In the beginning of Season 2 Mike is especially hurt when Ryan doesn't open up to him. During Season 1 they developed such a closeness to each other that it is hard for him to fathom that closeness going away.
Ryan and Mike truly seem to care for each other and they work well as a team. With 2 Seasons of The Following, they have gone through ups and downs while improving their techniques. This show would never feel complete if one or the other died. And, with a show like The Following, it is surprising that Mike has survived this long.
What will I talk about next Shipping Confessions? We go back to the Animorphs series to look at a pretty girl that is really a deadly warrior and a peaceful person that can still do questionable things.

Shipping Confessions: Bruce Banner/Betty Ross (The Incredible Hulk, 2008)
This is a special edition of Shipping Confessions since this deals with a canon relationship. So why am I talking about it if it's canon? The fact is that I ship it and I don't feel that Betty is given enough credit in The Avengers fandom. Plus people tend to forget that Tony Stark isn't the first or only person to treat Bruce like a human being (though he's in second place after Betty).
Sadly Betty, in the MCU, has only appeared in The Incredible Hulk and was not brought up in either The Avengers or Iron Man 3. So I only have one movie to work off of here.
The canon ship I will be talking about this time is Bruce Banner and Betty Ross. A couple that really seems to be forgotten by the majority of the MCU fandom.
The Incredible Hulk follows Bruce Banner running from General Ross and having to deal with another Hulk-like creature. During the movie Bruce runs into Betty Ross, a girlfriend of his before the gamma ray experiment accident, and ends up having to part from her at the end of the movie.
I've talked about Bruce before so this part will be short.
Bruce Banner trusted that his experiment would work so well that he did it on himself. When the experiment goes wrong he transforms into a big, green, unstoppable creature. In the movie it seems to take a little bit for him to accept the fact that when he changes he's still there and able to control the Hulk.
General Ross feels that now Bruce is his property and so goes after the tortured man. That's why Bruce is in hiding in both this movie and The Avengers. All the man wants is to live in peace, but General Ross won't let that happen.
During the movie, Bruce tries to figure out how he can reverse the experiment and that's one of the reasons he ends up running into Betty Ross.
Betty Ross is General Ross' daughter and Bruce's girlfriend before the shit hit the fan.
Betty isn't just a love interest, but can stand solidly on her own. In the smarts department she is a cellular biologist and she is damn brave on top of that. In numerous instances in the movie she trusts Bruce so much, even as the Hulk, that she doesn't flee or run in terror.
The moment that I will always recall as one of her bravest feats in the movie is when Bruce and her have found a man that says he has a cure. Betty goes on top of Bruce as he starts to transform and is calm enough to tell the man when Bruce has fully transformed. During this time she doesn't even flinch.
Betty and Bruce work very well together. Not only are they on the same basic knowledge level, but they care very deeply for each other. This makes whenever they are apart extremely painful and makes me wants to beg to know what is up with Betty. I highly doubt that Bruce wouldn't try to contact her after the credits end, but all of that is left to headcanons and fanfics.
Bruce never stops caring for Betty and his decision to leave is to keep her safe. He wants to be with her so much but knows that it will be better for her if they don't meet again. Before they meet up in the film he just sees her and watches without revealing himself because he cares for her.
The Hulk, Bruce's alter ego, doesn't seem able to hurt Betty. This happens even when Bruce is not in control. It's almost like Betty speaks to a deep part of Bruce and that's beyond beautiful to me. The Hulk is just anger personified and the fact that someone can talk to that creature is...wow.
I really hope that we get informed of how Bruce and Betty stand in the MCU soon. Betty is a character I would love to see more of.
What will I talk about in the next Shipping Confessions? Two FBI agents from the show The Following. One whose obsession with the killer is like a drug and the other one is falling out of grace.

Shipping Confessions: Harry Dresden/Karrin Murphy (The Dresden Files)
![]() |
| Picture from HERE |
The Dresden Files follows the adventures of Harry Dresden who is a wizard. The series is very interesting and I'd highly suggest it for those who like fantasy/mystery series. And if you're already a fan of the series: feel free to fangirl with me!
Throughout the series Harry Dresden and Karrin Murphy seem to be an almost couple. They always seem to hover around the issue with Cold Days being the first instance where they really talk about their feelings for each other.
I hadn't finished Cold Days when I decided to talk about this couple and technically they're not together so I'm counting this as non-canon enough for this series.
Harry Dresden is a wise-ass even when he faces death. That's a trait that I really admire in him. He's able to look death in the face, be scared, and is ready with a quip.
Harry is very powerful and can think through situations before the shit hits the fan. That's not to say he doesn't make mistakes or that his emotions don't get the better of him. But he is usually able to contain the trouble and figure stuff out by the end of each book.
Harry doesn't really have a good record with the ladies. The mother of his child he had to kill due to something really bad happening and now he's afraid to talk to his daughter. He's afraid to talk to his daughter because she was there when he killed her mother.
Of course Bob helps Harry out a lot of the time, but that genius deserves a blog post of his own.
Karrin Murphy is a former police officer who helps Harry in his adventures. She is a strong woman character and it's easy to see why Harry likes her.
Karrin is athletic. She can kick serious ass in one on one combat. Her ability to kick ass like that has been remarked on more than once in the series. She is also good while using a gun and her ability to use one is about as amazing as her ability to take people on one on one.
Finally, she is able to wield Fidelacchius which is one of the three swords made from the nails used to crucify Christ. Fidelacchius is the sword of faith. Besides that sword she also has possession/guardianship over Amoracchius.
Harry and Karrin work very well as both a team and a couple. They have worked together so often that they know each other very well and are also loyal to each other. It's always good when fighting to have someone you know will have your back. To say they've been in a few life and death situations is an understatement. In Cold Days, when they finally kissed, it was at a point when Harry decided to since he didn't want to die without doing something with Karrin.
Even in the first book there seemed to be something budding. As the series went on that something just seemed to increase. It got to the point of them needing to be a couple or else I'd lose my shit (and, yes, I lost my shit at the end of Cold Days since they decided to just be friends for the time being).
Harry is very good with magic while Karrin can back him up with more mundane things like guns and doing one on one fights. They are both smart people and they both do well under pressure.
There are just so many moments between the two where you go 'yeah, they belong with each other so why the hell aren't they already'. Both Harry and Karrin have had other relationships. This doesn't bother me since we all go through a few relationships before ending up with 'the one' (aka the one we are with until death or whatever you want to call them).
I hope in the next book they FINALLY get a solid relationship or else you'll hear me complaining for a long time.
What will I talk about in the next Shipping Confessions? Next Shipping Confessions will be a special one and I will be breaking a rule to talk about something that has been bothering me for some time. I kind of covered it in a former Shipping Confessions but I'd like a whole one to state my full feelings about the issue at hand.
I will be talking about a human and a human cursed with a very angry side from The Incredible Hulk (2008).
