I have no clue why I haven't talked about this ship sooner since I ship it very hard. It is one of those ships that me, and other shippers, think should be canon. Behind the scenes, Bryan Fuller has stated it's canon but not in a sexual sense. For me, I ship it with sex included.
The ship is from the show Hannibal which is about Will Graham solving crimes and his relationship to the cannibal Hannibal Lecter. The series is extremely well done in every aspect. Including casting choices and visuals.
The ship I will be talking about today is Hannigram (aka between Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham). It is one of those ships that is so twisted it is a joy for me but not something I'd support in real life.

The Five Person Sex Scene of Hannibal [Reposted]
It seems each episode of Hannibal this season is 'what will be most misunderstood and overreacted to this week'. While these negative opinions do help fuel me as a critic, it's annoying to have to be there to defend Bryan Fuller who is not as demonic as people would think. Hell, he had it so that Mason and Margot's stories were changed to show that people don't become part of the LGBTQ+ community because of abuse.
So this week people were complaining about the big, anticipated sex scene. Now I'm going to talk about two things in this post. I will first cover Margot's reasoning and then I will talk about the sex scene as a whole.

Hannibal - Season 3 Trailer Review
I wish I could've gotten this review out sooner as I was beyond ecstatic when I saw this trailer. I am a huge Hannibal fan and have been waiting impatiently since the end of last season for Season 3. The end of last season left us with Hannibal going out of the country as well as us not knowing exactly who was dead.
So, without further ado, here is my review.

Hannibal Snubbed at 2014 Emmys
![]() |
| For A Full List of Nominations Go HERE |
But, nope, they actually put a lot of time and effort into their creation. Mads Mikkelsen plays the title role of Hannibal Lecter and ends up giving Anthony Hopkins a run for his money. Hugh Dancy plays Will Graham with a deep and moving performance each time. Every other actor plays their character just like the characters deserve.
The sound and music of the series just adds to the creepiness that the visuals show. It is really a lovely thing to behold.
This year at the Emmys, none of the actors of the show were given the light of day. Hell, not even the series itself was nominated. I think this is just part of a larger problem with award shows like this one.
The thing is it seems a lot of the judges like to play things safe. So shows that aren't safe, like Hannibal, find it much more difficult to get nominated in them. People love saying that they want something different and that they want to see more shows/movies taking chances. However, when shows that do both of those things come along...you don't see the shows/movies getting nominated. They may have a cult following, but hardly a trophy or two to their name.
So, those people in charge of the Emmys, Hannibal deserves at least a nomination or two. The cast and crew work tirelessly to bring viewers a great show every week and they should be rewarded for doing so. Having an Emmy for the show would prove to doubters that Hannibal is a good piece of work.
Unrelated Note: Congrats to Mark Ruffalo for his nomination for his role of Ned Weeks in the HBO movie The Normal Heart. His performance was beyond outstanding, just like the rest of the movie. It's my favorite movie of the year, so far, and I'd highly recommend you see it right now.

Hannibal (Season 2)
Show: Hannibal
Season: 2
Episodes: 13
Created By: Bryan Fuller
Based on the Books By: Thomas Harris
Released: 2014
Rating: 6/6
Basic Plot: Explores the early relationship between the renowned psychiatrist and his patient, a young FBI criminal profiler, who is haunted by his ability to empathize with serial killers.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Canon Characters Can Die
In this season it's shown that canon characters (aka characters from the Thomas Harris books) can die before they're supposed to. I think that is one of the most evil genius things a person can do. It makes it so that you can't say that this character or that character will be safe until a certain time. It makes you really worried from week to week. This is, by far, one of the best things about this season. I just love it when you don't know who is going to die.
Will Takes the Upper Hand
All of last Season Will was reacting and trying to figure out who the killer was. This Season he knows and does his best to get Hannibal arrested. Of course things aren't simple, but they never are in these kinds of shows. It is refreshing and interesting to see a different Will that appears to go dark. I like how this Season didn't just give us the same Will from the first Season.
Jack Crawford's Intelligence
Throughout the majority of this Season, Jack appears to be dimwitted. I admit that his actions at the end of last Season made me hate him this Season even more. There were so many times during this Season where I wanted to smack some sense into him. When he arrests a vegetarian I was facepalming so hard. By the end of this Season I at least had respect for him.
Final Thoughts
The love and respect I have for this show is too much to put into words. I admire the people behind and in front of the camera (and some of the people's behinds that are in front of the camera). This show could've easily been another cliche killer show with only the name 'Hannibal' tying it in to Thomas Harris' book. This Season continues to amaze me with the cinematography, acting, and music among everything else. We get to see some characters we thought we would never see again and an amazing Season Finale. There are around two scenes that I consider the most gut wrenching of the series so far. I'll let you discover those on your own. This is not a show for everyone and if you get nauseous easily I wouldn't recommend this show to you.

Sayings Sundays (May 25, 2014)
The second season of NBC's Hannibal ended last Friday. And with the finale came another throwback to the Hannibal books by Thomas Harris. Yes, I know, the tv series has lots of easter eggs for long-time Hannibal fans to munch on. So this isn't exactly the first time it's happened.
This time a conversation between Hannibal and Will was eerily similar to one Hannibal and Clarice had in the book (and movie) Hannibal.
On a Theory of a Deadman binge I ran into this song. It is catchy as hell and one I don't mind being on repeat.
It also reminded me of Loki from The Avengers. Now I'm not a big Loki fan and I don't kneel at the mere mention of his name. But I really do feel that the song suits him.
Loki is a villain and yet he has legions of fangirls that, at times, seem to prefer him over the actual heroes. So I can't help but listen to this song and think of Loki.

Hannibal (Thomas Harris)
Title: Hannibal
Series: Hannibal
Author: Thomas Harris
Released: 1999
Rating: 5/6
Basic Plot: Seven years after the events of The Silence of the Lambs a former victim of Hannibal Lecter seeks revenge.
----------------------------------------------------
The Ending
The ending of this book is considered controversial. I can very much see why it would be, but I wasn't bothered by it. It was only after I finished the novel that I felt like I should find problems with it. It does involve manipulating a strong character with drugs but, at the end of the day, both characters stay strong and choose the path they would've anyways. In my opinion, at least.
The Character of Hannibal
Hannibal, in this book, is a more sympathetic character. The narrative has you rooting for Hannibal to succeed and Mason Verger to fail. While, I admit, Hannibal kills and eats people which is a bad thing, he is a complicated character. Even the worst things he does can be looked at as happening due to a warped sense of good intentions. This doesn't make them 100% right, of course. Another point that helps Hannibal appear to be good is that Mason is shown to be a top grade asshole.
Clarice
Clarice is shown to have created new enemies for herself after she had killed the killer from The Silence of the Lambs. Her struggle to remain part of the FBI is a big part of the novel as she not only has to deal with Lecter but others that want to take her down. When Jack Crawford leaves the picture it makes everything with her plot line even more intense.
Final Thoughts
This is a good end to Hannibal's story (chronologically speaking as Hannibal Rising was published after this). I do wish that we got a better handle on what happened to both Clarice and Hannibal after this, but what we did get was good enough. I like how Mason Verger was built up as a villain and the end of his story. I don't think I will forget the brainy dinner scene near the very end of the book anytime soon.

Sayings Sundays (May 4, 2014)
And here is yet another Hannibal quote. Is it becoming even clearer that I just love this show?
This quote talks about Hannibal Lecter who is the killer that everyone is looking for. Hannibal has the ability to hide right under your nose without you suspecting a thing. I cut out the part of the quote where Gideon says that Will will have to kill Hannibal as capturing the killer won't do the trick.
I'm posting this quote, instead of a Star Wars one, today because I've seen the show get a shitload of unfounded hate recently.
I've recently run into a Kelly Clarkson song called "Honestly". It is a nice, slow, and emotive song. It has a lot of emotion but none of the song jumps out at you with a loud volume. I would highly suggest giving it a listen to.
I chose these lyrics and the show Revolution due to this week's episode. At the very end of last episode, Charlie is given no choice but to kill Jason. In this week's episode she has to tell Tom and it ends with her begging him for death while he was the first to offer death to her.
This was a heartbreaking scene as neither character sees eye to eye but it took the death of Jason to give them an inkling of connection. Their pain over Jason's death is such a shared experience that it makes the scene even more powerful than it already was.
