Weekly Update 3/23/2017

For those of you who are stopping by my blog for the first time and/or don't have a lot of time to keep up with my blog, this is for you.

I will be posting some of what I consider important stuff I have blogged about and an update on an important project.

I will post these every now and again. I'm keeping the name 'Weekly Update' as I've grown fond of it.

Season 7 of Game of Thrones will start airing on July 16, 2017. Finally I won't have to wait any longer to see what happens next. While I do hope Daenerys Targaryen is able to successfully conquer Westeros, I would also love to see her turn mad.

I hope to see Arya Stark and Nymeria finally meet up again. There have been leaks that show it will probably happen. I also hope to see Arya and Jon Snow reunite.

I hope that Sansa Stark doesn't trust Littlefinger. And if it seems like she is that that she's pretending while being well aware of what he's capable of.

I also hope that Ser Jorah Mormont is able to cure his grey scale and make sweet sweet love to Daenerys.

Whether or not my hopes will come true or not I don't know. Game of Thrones has the annoying habit of teasing you with hope and then taking it away.

Figuring my blog readers should get something that I can actually give away.

A Quickie: Aida's Morality (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.)

I always seem to eventually come back to talking about robots and AIs. I guess it's just because I find them so fascinating. I am a Terminator fan so trying to decipher how those robots think is a good past time of mine.

With Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s latest season the topic of robots has come to the forefront of my mind. This part of the season revolves around LMDs (aka Life Model Decoys) which I knew would eventually start to kill humans.

As the 'leader' of the LMDs, Aida has proven to be a very interesting character. So is she good? Evil? How can you tell with a robot anyways?

Crossing the Divide 46

"We will avenge our children." Jorah promised me and put his hand on my shoulder. "For that we need to focus, Rin. If we don't we will join our children. We will join our children while their killer still lives."

I could only nod and reached out with my blood sense. I could hear the roaring of a dragon with three heads. Daenerys was still alive and I would keep her that way. If I let her die, though, there would be no chance that she would go mad. I pushed that thought out of my mind even as it yearned to linger. I wanted to fight with no consequences. I just wanted to kill.

"I can sense that Daenerys is alive." I told my husband. "I can smell Targaryen blood thick in the air. I only smell one Targaryen. Whatever magic Viserys is using doesn't allow me to sense his blood here."

"Then we have to get to her." Jorah said. "Now."

"The whole camp is under attack. We can't think just about our queen, we have to think of everyone. Right now I can't think clear enough to take everyone to safety."

"And you're the most powerful fighter Khaleesi has now."

Azor Ahai's face twisted in anger and pain. He needed to make sure the Targaryen was safe but knew what I said was true. He had even added to the argument of why he should lead the Dothraki to safety. He didn't like it but he knew it was true. It also meant he trusted me with Daenerys' life. I would make sure she lived tonight if only for him.

A Quickie: The Lord of Light's True Goal (Game of Thrones)

R'hllor has the titles of Lord of Light, the Heart of Fire, the God of Flame and Shadow, and the red god. He is most commonly worshiped in Essos with a few followers in Westeros. It is not easily seen if he is good or evil. If he deserves to be followed or not.

In this little post I'll take a look at trying to figure out if people should worship the Lord of Light or go against him.
