Year’s End is Neither an End Nor a Beginning Giveaway (Flight Rising)

Update: The giveaway is over. Thanks to everyone that participated. Maybe you were a member of Flight Rising and this giveaway made you a fan of my blog. Or maybe you're a fan of my blog who has suddenly learned about Flight Rising.

If you are a member of Flight Rising and can't wait until my next giveaway to get dragons from me: You can always check out the Auction House and my Dragon Shop for dragons I'm selling.

I also run a small WRITING SHOP

2018 has passed so quickly it seems. At the beginning of this year I was living with my father and now I'm living with my husband. There have been changes in my life and I've found them, mostly, for the better.

I thank everyone that has been a support in my personal and blogging life. Without you I wouldn't be able to keep my head held high and do what I do.

There is much to look forward to in 2019 including the final Season of Game of Thrones and the next Avengers movie. I might even find time to plan for an informal/non-official wedding for myself and my husband. It has been too busy to do so this year.

I'm making this the theme of this giveaway as this is the final giveaway of the year.

The Greatest Enemy is One That Has Nothing to Lose Giveaway (Flight Rising)

I remember many years ago picking up Eragon by Christopher Paolini. Later I ended up reading Eldest, Brisingr, and Inheritance. I loved the world that was created and cared for the characters. Was it derivative of other works? Yes. Did I enjoy it? Yes.

For those interested in learning exactly what the Inheritance Cycle copied go HERE.

While going through my Facebook newsfeed I found the announcement of an upcoming Eragon book. My husband bought me both Eragon and Eldest so that my collection was complete. I am currently doing a re-read of the series to be prepared for the new book.

Grab Something Valuable and Fake Your Own Death Giveaway (Dragon Cave)

Update: This giveaway is over. I want to thank everyone who participated here. If you can't wait until next giveaway you can go to the Dragon Cave Forums where people will trade and give away eggs. I am also more than willing to breed upon request.

While the giveaway is over, feel free to discuss Balthazar from Supernatural. I would love to hear any theories and headcanons you have about the character. If you blog about Supernatural go HERE to find out how to advertise on my blog.

Balthazar is an awesome character on the show Supernatural. Well...he was an awesome character before he died. I wish he had come back and we got more of him. Though with how poorly later seasons are written I'm glad he didn't have the chance to be ruined by the show.

Crowley used to be an amazing villain. His help was sometimes needed but Dean and Sam never trusted him. Yet over the seasons he became less of a villain and more of an ally. He was such an ally that he actually sacrificed his life for the Winchesters.

Why do I bring Crowley up? It's to indicate the show doesn't like in the middle characters anymore. Or outright villains who sometimes help the Winchesters. If someone helps the Winchesters they are good. Or at least not unreliable as Crowley was in the beginning.

Balthazar wouldn't fit in this new dynamic. He was very chaotic in the beginning. He found out that he didn't need to follow a script and so had a lot of fun. He didn't cause harm to humans because he was cruel but because he didn't see them as much different than cockroaches. In other words: not deserving of any real respect. Which is what the majority of angels feel towards humans.

Yet Balthazar does have a sense of loyalty. He does end up getting involved with the Heavenly Civil War merely because he considers Castiel a dear friend. The only time he does ally himself with the Winchesters is when he realizes that Castiel has gone off the deep end.

And if Balthazar is brought back there is the little matter of Castiel killing him. Castiel was brought back to life twice so maybe God thinks that Balthazar's sacrifice has made up for his past errors. Anyways... the way Balthazar handles Castiel, Dean, and Sam couldn't be him simply forgiving his angel friend.

It could be he comes to help the Winchesters from time to time until he finally forgives Castiel for the whole killing him thing.

And now I'm mad I don't have time to write this fic!

Family Don't End in Blood Giveaway (Flight Rising)

Update: The giveaway is over. Thanks to everyone that participated. Maybe you were a member of Flight Rising and this giveaway made you a fan of my blog. Or maybe you're a fan of my blog who has suddenly learned about Flight Rising.

As someone who doesn't have the most loving family, the Supernatural quote 'family don’t end in blood' really hits home to me. Family can be there and care for you. They can take you in when they don't have to. They can support you when it's trouble for them. But if they aren't there for you and are hurtful to you, that doesn't mean you have a bad family.

Sometimes we can't have the best blood family that supports our emotional needs, but we can have friends. It can be that your friends are there when your blood family isn't. And that is okay because 'family don't end in blood'.

You Know Nothing Jon Snow Giveaway (Flight Rising)

Update: The giveaway is over. Thanks to everyone that participated. Maybe you were a member of Flight Rising and this giveaway made you a fan of my blog. Or maybe you're a fan of my blog who has suddenly learned about Flight Rising.

If you are a member of Flight Rising and can't wait until my next giveaway to get dragons from me: You can always check out the Auction House and my Dragon Shop for dragons I'm selling.

Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie got married on June 23, 2018. The reason I have any interest in this celebrity wedding is because it's a kind I like. I don't know why but when I hear about a couple meeting on the set of a film or movie, it always makes me smile.

Kit plays Jon Snow on Game of Thrones which only has one more season before it ends. Rose used to play Ygritte on that same show. She, like most characters, died a tragic death. Did I ship Jon and Ygritte? I still do.

I don't know much about it but there was a Twitter campaign against the marriage of Kit and Rose. I mean...the heck?

Be Happy For Me and All Who Fly Free Giveaway (Jash's Dragon Army)

Update: This giveaway is over. I want to thank everyone who participated here. If you can't wait until next giveaway you can go to the Dragon Cave Forums where people will trade and give away eggs. I am also more than willing to breed upon request.

If you would like to learn more about my dragon army you can go HERE. It is constantly evolving and I would love your input on how it is progressing so far.

While the giveaway is over, feel free to discuss Tobias from Animorphs. I would love to hear any theories and headcanons you have about the character. If you blog about Animorphs go HERE to find out how to advertise on my blog.

Animorphs is an amazing series and I can never say enough good things about it. My favorite character in the series is Tobias. For differing reasons I really connect to him. This even though he is a boy trapped in the form of a red-tailed hawk and fights body-stealing alien slugs in an attempt to stop the invasion of Earth.

Some of the reasons I connect to Tobias are:

He is trapped in the body of a red-tailed hawk. I really loves birds. He is a bird. Therefore I love him more than a human.

He doesn't have a real sense of family. My own family is not perfect and have given me issues as I've grown up.

He didn't have many friends before the series started. I didn't talk to many people before college and I'm horrible at keeping in contact with friends.

He has a dry sense of humor. Tobias is hilarious, it's just his humor isn't as apparent as Marco's.

Here We Stand Giveaway (Flight Rising)

Update: The giveaway is over. Thanks to everyone that participated. Maybe you were a member of Flight Rising and this giveaway made you a fan of my blog. Or maybe you're a fan of my blog who has suddenly learned about Flight Rising. If you're the latter, keep on the lookout for the next registration window.

If you are a member of Flight Rising and can't wait until my next giveaway to get dragons from me, you can always check out the Auction House and my Dragon Shop for dragons I'm selling.

I also do nest rentals and lend out my cauldron.

If you want to find out more about my clan, feel free to check out my dragons' journals and the clan's facebook page.

And, hey, if you want to start a long discussion fangirling about Jorah Mormont, feel free. If you want to buy a cute little Jorah Mormont of your own click on the ad at the bottom of this post. Doing this you will help support my blog as well as getting something neat for yourself and others.

In Game of Thrones it isn't safe to adore a bunch of characters. This is because, well, a lot of them die. More like half of them die. Maybe more than half. It is what makes the show exciting as you don't know who will make it to the next episode. There are always consequences for actions and no one is safe. Except in Season 7 but that is a story for another day.

So to make sure I don't go crazy over all the deaths, I ended up choosing one character to care for. One character that I truly cared if they died. Now I do have other characters I like and hope they don't die, but if there was only one character to make it out it would be this one. Okay...so this decision wasn't entirely conscious but I was careful not to let myself feel the same way about other characters.

That character I chose is Ser Jorah Mormont. Not a perfect person, who is in Game of Thrones, but someone who has grown as a character since the show began. He has made it to the final season and I'm not holding my breath that he'll survive the final season as I'm a pessimist at heart.

While the giveaway is over, feel free to discuss Life is Strange. I would love to hear your theories about the series especially theories concerning Before the Storm. If you blog about Life is Strange go HERE to find out how to advertise on my blog.

The first thing I heard about Life is Strange was that it had two lesbian leads which turned out to be sort of true as their sexualities depended on how you played Max. I also knew it had time travel in it and that attracted me to the game.

I haven't played an actual copy but I have looked up videos on it and watched Let's Plays. Maybe one day I'll play the actual game as it does seem to be good. As of posting this, I haven't yet gotten a look at Life is Strange: Before the Storm. That is a prequel looking at Chloe and Rachel's relationship.

One of the things that made me uneasy about the prequel was...well...it was a prequel. Sometimes those don't exactly work out great. But when some of the gameplay was released my fears receded a little bit.
Here's hoping it is a good game with an interesting story to tell.

Figuring my blog readers should get something that I can actually give away.

And, hey, if you want to start a long discussion about Reylo or other ships, feel free. If you want to buy things related to Star Wars for yourself, friends, and family click on the ad at the bottom of my post. Doing this you will help support my blog as well as getting neat stuff for yourself and others.

Shipping is a wonderful thing. For those who aren't yet familiar with the term: shipping means enjoying the relationship between one or more characters.

For me it's yet another way to enjoy a series that I love. I will ship characters together that I wouldn't in real life because they aren't real. There are no actual consequences. I'm not influenced by fiction to think that an unhealthy relationship is perfection.

Now we come to the topic of Reylo which is the name of the ship between Rey and Kylo Ren from Star Wars.

We still don't know if the two are related yet some people are pre-grossed out by possible incest. Some have said they'll stop shipping the pair if the two are related. Myself...they're fictional characters so the real life consequences of incest need not apply. So, yeah, I'll still be shipping them if they are related because they aren't actually real.

In my quest to give back to my loyal blog readers, here's another giveaway. This time I'm giving away dragons (I know, shocking) from the site Flight Rising. Unlike Dragon Cave, you can't sign up at any time but have to wait for a registration window. Go to the HOME PAGE of Flight Rising to check when the next registration window is. Even if you can't make this giveaway, you can participate in future ones. I am jashykins on the site.

Now this giveaway is running a little differently than my Dragon Cave one due to how breeding is done on Flight Rising. The number of dragons I give away each time is dependent on how many eggs are produced in the 'giveaway nest'. I have selling my dragons in the Auction House and Exalting others as part of my income on the site. Losing a little here and there is fine, but doing constant giveaways is a no no.

This time I am giving away three dragons. The parents are Elfangor and Kali.

While the giveaway is over, feel free to discuss Game of Thrones. I would love to hear your theories about the upcoming season. If you blog about Game of Thrones go HERE to find out how to advertise on my blog.

Oh, if you want to buy Game of Thrones items, merely buy them via the ad on the bottom of this post. Catch up on the show, start reading the books, or buy Funko Pops of your favorite characters.

Season 7 of Game of Thrones will start airing on July 16, 2017. Finally I won't have to wait any longer to see what happens next. While I do hope Daenerys Targaryen is able to successfully conquer Westeros, I would also love to see her turn mad.

I hope to see Arya Stark and Nymeria finally meet up again. There have been leaks that show it will probably happen. I also hope to see Arya and Jon Snow reunite.

I hope that Sansa Stark doesn't trust Littlefinger. And if it seems like she is that that she's pretending while being well aware of what he's capable of.

I also hope that Ser Jorah Mormont is able to cure his grey scale and make sweet sweet love to Daenerys.

Whether or not my hopes will come true or not I don't know. Game of Thrones has the annoying habit of teasing you with hope and then taking it away.

Figuring my blog readers should get something that I can actually give away.

If you want to buy things related to your favorite fandom for yourself, friends, and family click on the ad at the bottom of my post. Doing this you will help support my blog as well as getting neat stuff for yourself and others.

I like to write fanfiction as anyone that reads my blog can clearly tell. Some I like to have fun with and...yeah...those can get odd as funny to me sometimes means...well if you have read those fics you'll know. Others I like to spend time and effort on. I feel canon can be messed with as long as a good story is told.

With the release of Fifty Shades Darker approaching, the fact that that is what most people think fanfiction is makes me a little upset. Yes, there are people that write fics like that or worse but there are also lots of other fanfic writers that actually write well. And actually write good sex scenes with compelling characters unlike the Fifty Shades trilogy.

Those fanfictions you can read for free and only waste time if you don't like them. Plus some of them deserve to be on the big screen. I don't read much fanfiction as my workload and all, but I have read a few that would make a good movie or tv series.

While the giveaway is over, feel free to discuss Westworld. Oh, if you want to buy the theme to Westworld and help support this blog, merely buy the music via the ad on the bottom of this post.

Westworld is a sci-fi show about robots, the wild west, and understanding what it means to be human. It is a show full of mystery that is highly addictive. There are little clues spelling out that the show is more complicated than we think. If you're worried about needing to watch the original film, don't be. You don't need to watch it to be able to understand the show.

I am writing this a week or so before the actual giveaway so I'm afraid of saying something that is proven to be wrong. Ford might be revealed as a Host by the time I post this. Or it might be revealed that this show doesn't take place on Earth.

There are so many things that could happen!

Halloween is coming up and zombie season is on its way. Z Nation and Fear the Walking Dead are airing new episodes while The Walking Dead will be premiering its latest season October 23rd of this year. So let's discuss them a little.

There are two types of zombies: undead and biological.

One type is based on some mystical explanation while the latter is because of something scientific. In The Walking Dead it is the latter as things are explained scientifically. In Warm Bodies (2016) there seems to be a more mystical  explanation.

Even Game of Thrones has jumped onto the zombie train. The White Walkers are sort of ice zombies and as the series draws to a close they will become even more important. Daenerys comes to Westeros next season and after the whole Iron Throne thing the battle with the White Walkers will truly begin.

In my quest to give back to my loyal blog readers, here's another giveaway. This time I'm giving away dragons (I know, shocking) from the site Flight Rising. The Very Best One Giveaway (Jash's Dragon Army)

Update: This giveaway is over. I want to thank everyone who participated here. If you can't wait until next giveaway you can go to the Dragon Cave Forums where people will trade and give away eggs.

If you would like to learn more about my dragon army you can go HERE. It is constantly evolving and I would love your input on how it is progressing so far.

While the giveaway is over, feel free to discuss The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead. Oh, if you want to buy The Walking Dead Season 6 and help support this blog, merely buy the season via the ad on the bottom of this post.

Season 6 left us viewers at the edge of our seats wondering who Negan killed. I consider the final scene to be beyond awesome and the first person POV just breathtaking. As October 23rd draws closer, we will finally find out who Negan killed.

But do we really want that answered?

While now the anticipation is killing us, there is no real answer to the question. We are free to assume our favorite characters get out alive with no one able to tell us differently (depending on how many spoilers a person is aware of). When the answer is revealed we won't be able to reverse time to erase the memory from our minds. We will be stuck with the clear knowledge of who died.

I can't wait to see who Negan kills and I'll have a handy bottle of sake by me when I watch the Season 7 Premiere.

And, hey, if you want to start a long discussion about Pokemon Go feel free.

Pokemon Go has become very popular and boy are people really excited about it. Well, besides the people who decide to be hateful/superior because they don't play it. As long as you are having fun and being safe, there is no need to be demonized.

I chose Team Mystic and it seems my team is in 'rivalry' with Team Valor. Team Instinct is off doing its own thing for the most part. I will shout stuff about Mystic being the best but it's all fun and games for me. I do hope that each team has some perks for different things. Just so that there would be more of a reason of choosing than 'Aritcuno is the best!'.

I have seen the sun while playing Pokemon Go. A very scary experience. All that sunlight and heat is disturbing.

Kojima's Next Game Giveaway (Jash's Dragon Army)

Update: This giveaway is over. I want to thank everyone who participated here. If you can't wait until next giveaway you can go to the Dragon Cave Forums where people will trade and give away eggs.

If you would like to learn more about my dragon army you can go HERE. It is constantly evolving and I would love your input on how it is progressing so far.

While the giveaway is over, feel free to discuss Death Stranding and Kojima. Oh, if you want to buy the game and help support this blog, merely buy the game via the ad on the bottom of this post.

At this year's E3, Kojima's next game was revealed. I was excited to see another game come out from him after everything that went down after Silent Hills was cancelled. I was also more than a little excited to see Norman Reedus joining Kojima again.

A big question that was asked after the trailer for Death Stranding was released was what did it mean. The trailer doesn't exactly give a coherent summary of the upcoming game. Instead it is just confusing and I've watched it a few times as well as looked up theories.

There is a theory that the trailer is Kojima's feelings towards his former employers as well as saying that he's not going to work on another Metal Gear Solid game (for the latter people point to the dead whales).

Other popular theories include thinking that the game will tie into quantum theory, that Reedus' character is stranded somewhere, and that the scars on his belly are from his baby being cut out of him. I've also heard people using the William Blake poem in the beginning of the trailer to theorize an apocalyptic setting. Also, of course, is the fact that the title of the game is most likely a play on Cetacean stranding which is a real world phenomena.

I've listened to the lyrics of the song used in the trailer and that may point towards the game's plot. The lyrics include "buried underground" which makes me think of an organization. The lyrics also include "lost and never found" which makes me think that Reedus' character was on a mission and something went wrong leaving him lost.

I'm horrible with theorizing so I'm probably way off.

Idiot Teenagers with a Death Wish Giveaway (Flight Rising)

Update: The giveaway is over. Thanks to everyone that participated. Maybe you were a member of Flight Rising and this giveaway made you a fan of my blog. And, hey, if you want to start a long discussion about Animorphs feel free.

It all began so many years ago with a spark of curiosity. Then I found myself lost in the pages of the first Animorphs book. From that point on I was hooked and I couldn't put any of them down. While waiting for the next book in the series I would re-read the former books.

I adored spending hours reading about how Tobias was dealing with being trapped in the body of a hawk, the Animorphs nearly dying by being ripped apart in ant morph, Cassie dealing with being a pacifist in a war, and so many other exciting adventures.

To me, Animorphs is what Young Adult literature should aspire to: treating its audience with respect and not talking down to them.

If you find yourself in the presence of one of these out of print books, I would highly suggest reading them. Even as an adult they have a lot of impact, more so than when I was a kid.

Even if you can't make this giveaway, you can participate in a future one.

This time I am giving away two dragons. The parents are TobiasFangor and RachelBerenson.

Selene the Fighter Giveaway (Flight Rising)

Update: The giveaway is over. Thanks to everyone that participated. Maybe you were a member of Flight Rising and this giveaway made you a fan of my blog. Or maybe you're a fan of my blog who has suddenly learned about Flight Rising. If you're the latter, keep on the lookout for the next registration window.

If you are a member of Flight Rising and can't wait until my next giveaway to get dragons from me. You can always check out the Auction House and my Dragon Shop for dragons I'm selling.

I also do nest rentals and lend out my cauldron.

If you want to find out more about my clan feel free to check out my dragons' journals and the clan's facebook page.

Selene was my first parakeet and was extremely close to my heart. She was known as the escape artist as she broke out of her first cage multiple times. While at mom's old house she figured out, before her cagemate Kiwi, how to tell what a glass door was and be able to avoid them.

She was an awesome bird full of quirks and an amazing personality. Recently she passed away but she didn't so without a fight.

Selene survived two months more than she was expected to. Slowly she lost her ability to fly and the use of her legs, but not before she flew up to the sunroof. Her loss of movement didn't mean she wasn't able to move around as she was able to 'walk' by using her beak. She did not let her disability slow her down at all.

I would faithfully deshit her and force feed her (the latter with help from either my Dad or reverezner) three times a day.

At the very last moments of her life, as she was going through the second set of seizures of her final night, she turned to the phone (where revs was on speaker phone) and then to me with a smile on her face.

So this giveaway lets remember this fighter who can never be replaced.

Shawn Ashmore: From Animorphs to Quantum Break Giveaway (Jash's Dragon Army)

Update: This giveaway is over. I want to thank everyone who participated here. If you can't wait until next giveaway you can go to the Dragon Cave Forums where people will trade and give away eggs.

If you would like to learn more about my dragon army you can go HERE. It is constantly evolving and I would love your input on how it is progressing so far.

While the giveaway is over, feel free to discuss Quantum Break and Shawn Ashmore's career. Oh, if you want to buy the game and help support this blog, merely buy the game via the ad on the bottom of this post.

I first saw Shawn Ashmore in the tv show adaptation of Animorphs. The show was an abomination to the Animorphs series and I like to pretend it doesn't exist most of the time (much like Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull). But I will allow mention of its existence when Ashmore is brought up.

I could've never guessed when I first saw him as Jake Berenson that he would eventually go on to do bigger and better things (better not being hard to do after the Animorphs tv show).

But go on to be Iceman in the X-Men series he did. That seems to be his biggest role to date. He was also in the show The Following as FBI Agent Mike Weston. A show that ended on a cliffhanger that I need resolved yesterday.

Recently Shawn Ashmore both voice acted and played the character of Jack Joyce in Quantum Break. He does an awesome job. Brooke Nevin (Rachel Berenson in the Animorphs tv show) is also in the game as Liam Burke's Wife.

Figuring my blog readers should get something that I can actually give away.

A New Kind of Giveaway (Jash's Dragon Army)

Update: This giveaway is over. I want to thank everyone who participated here. If you can't wait until next giveaway you can go to the Dragon Cave Forums where people will trade and giveaway eggs.

While the giveaway is over, feel free to continue discussing Deadpool's rating as well as the character himself.

Well, an R rated comic book movie is coming out and people started getting angry about it. An incident involving a boy complaining he won't be able to see the movie because of the rating and the petition that was created because of it caused a lot of people to get angry.

While I think that kids can deal with a lot more than we give them credit for and the rating system is broken: changing the rating for this movie because of some people would ruin the movie overall.

I am on the internet so I've heard of Deadpool and, from what I know, a higher rating seems to ensue that the character can be shown like he should. The trailers that are shown on tv are extremely watered down from the red band trailer.

Going to be seeing Deadpool for Valentine's Day and then coming back home to watch The Walking Dead mid-season premiere.
