I know a lot of you might be wondering why it is taking so long for me to get new parts of my Animorphs Re-Read out. Is it because it's a long and intricate series with each book being a big quest to undertake? Do I just not give a shit about the series?
No to both. The reason it is taking so long to get out is how I am doing it. I will explain now so in the future I can send people to this post in case they're wondering.
Now how I do the Re-Read has changed a few times since I've started. But now it seems that I've gotten to a point where I found out how I want to do it until the end. This may change in the future, but I doubt it. However, if it does change then I will update this post with the relevant information.
I usually cover four chapters for each part of my Re-Read. Sometimes one more if a chapter is extremely short (extremely short being one or two pages). I read a chapter and write down my commentary as I go. I also make a list of quotes from the chapters that can be found HERE. When I finish reading a chapter I choose one quote to put at the top of the summary of that chapter.
This will take four days if everything works out. However, sometimes life pokes its head up and I miss a day. Also, each day after I finish a chapter I take a day off. Now I am using the days off to write random blog posts that will help me cover things more in depth that my reviews don't. Like this post for example.
And when I finish writing about the four chapters I then spend a day making graphics for them. This is a little hard for a series like Animorphs because there's not a lot of official art I can use for it. After I make the four graphics I take another day off.
The next time I work on the Re-Read I edit the part. This includes putting the book cover on top, Amazon ad at the bottom, correcting grammar mistakes, and adding pictures and gifs to the post.
After this I take a day off to do a small post about any news about Subeta that is happening that day. The next day I then spend one to two days working on the latest Shipping Confessions and then the process repeats itself.
So there's the reason why this Re-Read isn't getting done quickly. If I was reading this series for fun I'd probably be done within a month or two. So, don't worry, I will finish this Re-Read or die trying.

Tobias and Me 11
I tried to calm down as an alarm had just
sounded to alert the two of us that we were about to exit Z-space. Cat had a
hand on my back and I was perched in front of the controls watching. In less
than a blink of an eye we were out of Z-space with a planet before us.
Yes! I shouted before I realized I had said
the word out loud.
I turned to see what Cat’s expression
was. I felt relieved when I saw a wide smile on her face. We had done it. We
had made it back home. All we had to do now was avoid the attention of Visser
Three.
“So all we do is fly to your meadow?” Cat
asked.
Yeah. Just look at the sensors and tell me if anything strange pops
up. I told her. Visser Three’s Blade ship might be in orbit and the Yeerks might see
us.
After that everything was silent. Except
for the sounds I made while morphing human and Cat’s anxious breathing,
everything was silent. Flying a Bug fighter as a human was a little different
experience, but I was able to quickly learn to pilot just as well as when I had
been a Hork-Bajir.
I tried to figure out where my meadow was
as we flew around Earth trying to avoid the Yeerks’ attention. Suddenly I
realized something. We couldn’t land in my meadow or close to it. What if the
Yeerks found it there?
Then it would be easy for them to find
both Ax and myself.
“Cat?” I asked.
“Yeah?” She said, distracted by
monitoring the sensors.
“How do you feel about a short flight? I
need to land the Bug fighter a little bit away from my meadow. When the Yeerks
find their missing Bug fighter I don’t want myself or Ax to die.”
“That’d be good.” She replied, still
distracted by the sensors.
We didn’t encounter any problems with the
Yeerks as we entered the Earth’s atmosphere. What we did encounter problems
with was finding where we needed to go. I had to demorph and morph again before
we finally found the right area.
I landed the fighter by the mountain lake
where me and my friends had destroyed a Yeerk ship. One of our earliest
victories.
I demorphed and followed Cat outside. I
spread my wings as I felt Earth’s air and heat. I had never thought I would
return. I was more than eager to start flying, but didn’t try to rush Cat. I
did, however, go onto a low branch of the nearest tree.
“We’re back.” She finally said.
Yeah, we’re back home. I replied.
We’ll have to go to the others as soon as
possible. They’ll need to know I’m fine as I’ve been gone...I don’t know how
long.
Cat nodded nervously.
“Are you sure they’ll...” Cat started and
then stopped.
Don’t worry, it will be fine. And if anyone tries to get to you
they’ll have to go through me first.
This made Cat smile. A few minutes later
and we were flying towards my meadow. The flight was quiet since, I guess, Cat was
still nervous at the thought of meeting the other Animorphs. The only one I was
really worried about was Rachel. She would be mad at me both for nearly getting
lost in space and also for bringing a new girlfriend back.
As we neared the barn, my hawk eyes saw
all of my friends going inside.
Tobias hasn’t been by my scoop recently. I heard Ax say faintly after everyone had entered the barn.
Ax! I shouted loudly, hoping he could hear
me. Tell the others I’m here with a
friend!
After that Ax’s thought-speak became hard
to follow as he was having to explain about what I had just said. Soon two of
my friends, Jake followed closely by Rachel, came out of the barn and looked
into the sky where they saw two identical birds.
I entered the barn in my usual way while
Cat landed.
Cat is going to need some clothes. I said and
Cassie came out with an outfit.
I could hear Rachel, even with all that
was going on, still criticizing Cassie’s lack of fashion sense. Rachel was a
great fighter even though you wouldn’t think that by looking at her. Soon Cat
and the others were in the barn. I started to preen once I saw that Cat was
seated.
“Do you have the box?” Rachel asked
angrily. “You left all of us here thinking you were dead and that the Yeerks
had the box. And now we find out you gave the morphing power to this…girl. What
if she is another David? What if she turns on us like he did?”
“I’m not going to turn on you. I want to
join you.” Cat said. “I was captured by the Skrit Na and Tobias brought me back
home. I’m not going to do anything that endangers him.”
“So because of Birdboy you’re going to
get yourself thrown into insane situations?” Marco asked. “You got back safely
once, but who says you’re going to get out of this alive?”
“I don’t know, but I’m not going to quit
because I’m scared.”
I could see a brief smile on Marco’s
face. A smile that showed that he thought her joining would be a good idea. I
was glad that he would be on her side.
“So how exactly did the two of you meet?
I doubt you encountered the Skrit Na on Earth. You would’ve been back a lot
sooner if you did.” Jake said and then I started to explain.
I watched everyone’s reactions as I told
my story. Not even half-way through I could tell Rachel was having to hold back
a lot of anger. We weren’t in a relationship now and I was growing tired of how
they always ended up working. We’d go apart and then we’d get back together. It
wasn’t a way to live. It hurt to see her realizing what we had was gone and I
hoped she’d understand why one day. I also hoped she wouldn’t take her anger
out on Cat.
“This should be a group decision.” Jake
said. “I vote she joins us. If Tobias trusts her, I trust her.”
“I vote she joins us.” Cassie said. “She
doesn’t appear like David did.”
I vote she joins us. I said
without saying anything afterward. My story should be reason enough.
“I vote she joins us.”Marco said with a
grimace. “I don’t think it’s a good idea, but I agree with Cassie. She doesn’t
look like a David.”
I vote she joins us. Ax said
and turned a stalk eye towards me. If my
shorm trusts her, I trust his judgment.
We all turned to look at Rachel. Her vote
wouldn’t matter at this point. All she could do was show that she hated Cat
because of me.
“I vote she joins us.” Rachel said
slowly. “As much as I want to yell at Tobias right now, he’s a good judge of
character. Especially where relationships are concerned.”
“She’s in then.” Jake said with a smile.
“But later we’ll have to discuss your…outing.”
Yes, Jake. I said as I was
just glad to be done with the meeting.
The others left while Cassie, Cat, and
myself stayed for a little while. We talked and laughed. Cassie was good at
getting Cat acquainted with her new life.
“Do I have time for a flight before it
gets dark?” Cat asked and looked up at me.
“Sure, just come back after it gets dark.
Hawks like Tobias aren’t meant to fly at night.” Cassie said with a small grin.
I’ll wait outside. I said and exited
the barn.
After a few minutes of circling around
the barn Cat came out in her red-tailed hawk morph.
I love you. I told her.
I love you too. Cat replied.
And, with that, we flew towards the
setting sun. I didn’t know what would happen from here. I didn’t know if either
of us would survive or even if our relationship would be long term.
All I cared about now was Cat flying
beside me.
-The End-
Author’s Note: This was a fic for my friend
Cat. I actually tempted her with it so she would join a site. I am not planning
on writing a sequel. If I did, however, it would involve Cat adapting to being
an Animorph and how the Yeerks handle the Bug fighter Tobias stole. I have a
few different ideas of how the latter would go down, but I am not planning on
writing it.
I want to thank you for taking time out of your day to read this.

Revolution (Season 2)
Show: Revolution
Season: 2
Episodes: 22
Created By: Eric Kripke
Released: 2013-2014
Rating: 4.5/6
Basic Plot: Fifteen years after a permanent global blackout, a group of revolutionaries seeks to drive out an occupying force posing as the United States Government.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Difference From Season 1
The changes make this show feel like something different, but in a good way. It's not a rehashing of the first Season which is a very good thing. What you get instead are new enemies (the Patriots) and a sub-plot that slowly gains importance as the Season goes on (the nanites). A lot of people had problems with either the plot lines or the nanites. Or both. I don't get why something introduced in the first Season and got better explained this Season would be hated so much.
The Odd Hiatuses
One thing that was really odd and strange were the odd hiatuses that would take place during this Season. Besides moving the show to a different time, this seems like NBC was trying to cancel the show by going, "The show's ratings went down. However did THAT happen? Well, guess we have to cancel it." If people didn't like it, fine. But for NBC to make it hard to watch when it aired is a completely different thing.
Aaron's Expanded Role
I am one of the few people that really enjoy Aaron. So I was very pleased this Season when his role got expanded. Because of his ties to the nanites the show focuses on him more than it did in the first Season. Some people were angry about more Aaron in the show and would even skip through his scenes. Hell, those people were happy when he broke away from the group so that his scenes were easier to skip through.
Final Thoughts
This was a good Season that expanded on the first and ended with a big cliffhanger. I liked Monroe getting redeemed and not all the characters being together at the start of the Season. I also love that Aaron gets a more expanded role this Season. I know a lot of people don't like him but I don't see why people would hate this lovable character. Well, I had a good time watching this show but it's over now.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II (Final Showdown)
Well this is the last part of the journey. This is the end for better or for worse. So sit down and listen to how the last part of this game ends. At least for me.
The last part of the game is really just plowing your way through Starkiller clones. This is both fun and a little taxing...well...until your bar to use Force Rage fills up and you can use that. Then just make sure you have a bunch of clones in your sight.
When I fought Darth Vader I used Force Lighting (Force Push didn't work against him) and waited until my Force Rage bar filled up so I could use that. During different parts of the fight, clones would attack you as Vader was still attacking you.
I don't know if Force Rage was the reason that this was an easier ending than the first game or the fact that I saved just before this part and so was well rested. Hell, if I had done this part from when I arrived on Kamino this probably would've felt a lot harder.
Now onto the plot as this part was just as plot heavy as it was fighting heavy!
As Starkiller runs through the facility on Kamino, he runs into Vader a few times. Each time he isn't able to reach Vader and is instead given clones of himself to fight. Kota and Starkiller talk about what so many clones could mean. A possible Sith clone army.
When Starkiller finally reaches Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith tells the clone not to attack or Juno dies. Starkiller pretends to agree, but then fights Vader instead. Throughout the duel Vader tells Starkiller that Juno is a weakness.
Now the following will be what I personally experienced and may not be the same for you:
Starkiller is about to kill Vader but Kota comes up just in time saying to stop. Kota says that if Vader is killed, Starkiller will never know the truth about himself and the Rebel Alliance will lose the chance at important information.
Starkiller debates for a bit and then goes to kill Vader. Starkiller is wounded fatally by Vader's successful clone which the Dark Lord gloats about. He says he lied about not having a successful clone. Kota and Starkiller's friends (including Juno) are killed. Starkiller can only look as Vader and the Clone walk away.
The Clone just looks at Juno with an unreadable expression.
What I didn't know when playing was that, at least on the Wii version, you stand by Kota or Vader depending if you think Vader should die or live. I was having Starkiller pace around and it was by chance that the last time I had a chance to choose (by Pressing the A button) that I was by Vader.
So what did I think of the game? I found it very enjoyable to play through. I think I enjoyed it more than the first one because the save feature actually worked on this one. I didn't have to worry about having to complete a level for the saving option to function.
There was a lot of jumping in this game which was...hard to deal with at times. But I made it through so yeah!
I enjoyed the new Force powers.
I do wish I had known how to do the ending before I finished the game so I could pick the ending I wanted. But, oh well. Me and everyone I loved died so that sort of fits with what I like in a story.
Sad that with the clearing of the Star Wars Expanded Universe that there is probably no chance at a sequel.
I don't know if I'll ever do a playthrough like this again so don't hold your breath.

All of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II
New Beginnings and Second Chances 4
The air was cool as the sun set in the mountains. Marco and
myself were in front of my mountain lake cabin. If we were to walk a little
further then we would reach the beach of the lake. We had gone in the lake
shortly before sunset. Marco was wearing his swimming trunks and my feathers
were still wet. I was perched on the back of Marco’s chair.
I had morphed my usual human self to swim. We hadn’t had sex
while swimming, though, as Marco was having too much fun in beaver morph. I had
thought about morphing another animal to chase him with, but that would expend
too much energy.
I looked over his head at the sunset and enjoyed how the
light hit the trees and mountains. I felt like spreading my wings and having a
small flight before going in for the night. But my feathers were still too wet
to fly comfortably. If I had to fly I could, but flying for pleasure now was
impossible.
“So why did you make this cabin again?” Marco asked lazily,
not really caring for the answer as he already knew. But I guess he wanted to
talk just so he could hear my thought-speak replying. “I know that when it was
built you didn’t come here often.”
I did do traveling,
I explained again. So I needed somewhere
to rest. Especially when the weather got bad. After it was built I eventually
used it for both solitude and having sex. This is a place that I used a lot
when I was on my soul searching journey.
“Yeah,” Marco said and he sounded sort of guilty. “I guess I
should’ve been there for you more.”
If we didn’t part ways
then I probably wouldn’t be stable right now.
“You call your current state stable?”
At least I wasn’t
swimming around as a beaver humming the Batman theme song earlier.
Marco just shook his head. I rubbed my head against his and
then one of his hands reached back and scratched my neck. It was wonderful to
have him up here in this setting. There was no war and we didn’t have to deal
with anyone but ourselves. This was the life.
The sun went down and I jumped to the ground. Marco stood up
and we looked at each other.
“Did you put clothes on?” Marco asked and smiled.
Didn’t see a reason
to. I said as I began the morph.
Marco smiled at my reply and I would soon have a mouth to
smile back at him with. And it wouldn’t be a smile just because we were going
to have sex and I was glad that I would be having it with him for one more
night at least. No, it went deeper than the mere physical.
As my talons turned into feet as I started to rise to
Ruffalo morph height, I thought how good it was to admit that I loved him.
Hell, it was even better that he had admitted that he loved me.
The moment we had admitted our feelings for each other
was…strange. It was strange because we had both hid our feelings for so long.
We had hid them both from ourselves and each other. Maybe soul searching was
the reason I was able to or maybe it was because Marco had finally not felt ashamed
at his own sexuality.
Whatever the reason, I was glad we had said we loved each
other.
As I neared completion with my morph, and only my tail
feathers would show that I had been a bird, Marco put his hands on my shoulders
and kissed my lips. It took all of my concentration to finish the morph.
“I’ve told you not to do that before.” I said with a small
laugh.
“And every time you tell me…” Marco said as his eyes
explored my body more intently than he did with his hands when we were actually
having sex.
“I act like I don’t mind because it’s useless trying to
teach you anything.”
Marco grinned as we walked back to the cabin.
Tobias Fangor. I
told the alarm system.
Though you couldn’t see them with the naked eye, cameras and
sensors were looking at my body and examining my DNA. I had entered Mark
Ruffalo’s DNA into the system, though that was somewhat unsafe. Hopefully,
though, the thought-speak recognition program would catch someone else trying
to break in. My own human morph was the one no one else could morph and so I’d
usually use that morph to enter the cabin.
Accepted. It
replied and Marco went to open the door.
As soon as I followed him in I shut the door and pushed him
against the nearest wall. I knew we had wanted to start in the bed for once,
but that proved impossible tonight. Things got hot and heavy quickly and I
didn’t think we’d ever make it to the bedroom.

Godzilla (2014)
Title: Godzilla
Series: Godzilla
Director: Gareth Edwards
Starring: Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, and Bryan Cranston
Rated: PG-13
Released: 2014
Personal Rating: 3.5/6
Oscars: N/A
Plot: The world's most famous monster is pitted against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lack of Monster Fights
One big drawback of this film is the lack of monster fights shown. When I go to a movie like Godzilla I want some awesome monster on monster action. While the fights in the film were artistic, they were too artistic for the kind of film this is. I'm not saying don't focus on the characters, but when you promise a monster fight give the kindness to show it. The monster fight at the end was great but the other fights in the movie always had something lacking.
Bryan Cranston
For all the Breaking Bad fans that are going to see this movie because of Cranston, this is for you. Cranston does a great performance as Joe Brody and makes each of his scenes very enjoyable. However, Cranston is not in this movie for very long. You can basically blink and then he's out of the movie. I can see why Cranston would be heavily advertised in the movie. You've probably heard this from everyone else. But in case you're one of the few that this is the first time you're hearing this, I wrote about it here.
The Opening Credits
There was artistic style put into this movie and you can see it in the opening credits. They give the beginning of the movie a feeling that they were shot way back when. Seamus McGarvey, the cinematographer for the movie, used 1960s camera lenses and digitally tinted those shots to give them the look they have in the final product. I love when people working on movies spend a little time and effort to create things like this.
Final Thoughts
This is a good movie with the fight scenes being artistically done. The first time Godzilla appears he causes a tsunami which is beyond awesome. However, the lack of detailed monster fights makes me have to suggest you wait until this comes onto dvd/blu-ray. The human story is good and Cranston is used to good effect, which is why I didn't rate this movie lower.

Sayings Sundays (June 1, 2014)
Revolution was recently cancelled. It was about a group of people living after the apocalypse which was caused by nanobots making electric power impossible. The journey with the main group of characters goes from fighting against Monroe to fighting against a group called the Patriots to realizing that the nanobots are bad and with a third season we would've seen more evil nanobots trying to take over the world.
The ending of Season 2 was a big cliffhanger and I'm mourning the fact that we'll never know for certain what will happen next.
This quote is from Charlie and I chose it to show off some of her sass.
Here is a nice sad graphic for today to combat the funny sass from the other graphic.
For awhile now "Fire and Rain" by James Taylor has been a good go to for a sadness song that fits a lot of fandoms. Especially the heartbreaking ones.
The Animorphs series is a series aimed for children that's actually pretty adult in certain themes like the moral grey area and the effects of fighting a war. So it fits that one of the main characters dies. Specifically Rachel.
Tobias and Rachel were a huge item and so Tobias ends up going into a big depression after the war. He ends up living in the wilderness as a hawk. So I figured to use those lyrics and a picture of a red-tailed hawk. I would've used a picture of Rachel but the lyrics are from Tobias' point of view.
