Terrifier 3 (Mini-Review)

Terrifier 3 sees the return of Art the Clown. It has been five years since Sienna and Jonathan Shaw survived Art's previous rampage. Sienna is having trouble differentiating reality from fiction due to her trauma while Jonathan tries to put the incident behind him. Both will have to face their trauma head on to have a hope of surviving Art the Clown's latest string of murders. Sienna, though, will also have to face a new threat. Terrifier 3 was released in 2024. It was directed by Damien Leone. It stars Lauren Lavera, Elliott Fullam, Margaret Anne Florence, and Bryce Johnson.

There are no mid or post credits scenes.

While the movie does seem to paint Jonathan as dead, I think differently. The first reason is that the person who gives that information is unreliable and that's putting it lightly. That person had everything to gain by Sienna thinking that Jonathan is dead and nothing to gain by saying he is actually alive. The second is that we never see the fate of one character in the opening. And this from a movie that is unrelenting in the gore department.

About that unrelenting gore...there is a lot of it. Not only is there a lot of it, but it is used very creatively. Art the Clown loves toying with his victims. He loves seeing all the joy turn into pain and terror. Since he is such a psychotic character, there are moments of humor. Such as after the opening kill, he cleans up his meal like he didn't slaughter en entire family. At another point he makes a blood angel from the blood of his victims. So if you are slightly squeamish, you will not enjoy this movie.

In the first movie Victoria Heyes is the sole survivor. In the second movie Victoria seems obsessed with Art to the point of loving him. In this movie Victoria's actions are better explained. This works well as what was done to her is being attempted again on Sienna.

I would highly recommend Terrifier 3 to fans of the Terrifier series. I would also highly recommend Terrifier 3 to those seeking a lot of gore. I would also recommend Terrifier 3 to horror fans.
