This book follows the journey of a young girl who experiences bullying at her school and overcomes it by re-building her self-esteem. The story sheds light on the purity and innocence that all young boys and girls are born with, until they enter an environment that slowly dims their light. The narrative explores the resiliency of children when they are faced with life's challenges. The book also exposes the effects of bullying at a young age, the influence of public opinion and the negative psychological impact.

What was the inspiration for writing Little Nikki Her Journey to Self-Love?

The story Little Nikki Her Journey to Self-Love is loosely based off my own life as a young child. I used real people for my characters to keep it as close to the truth as possible. Essentially, I wanted to share my story in the hopes that it can make a positive impact on young children going through similar challenges.

What was the writing process like for Little Nikki Her Journey to Self-Love?

I get inspired by my creative ideas all the time but for the story Little Nikki Her Journey to Self-Love I started jotting down ideas right away. I left it alone for a while and came back to it several months later and added more elements to my story. Needless to say my writing process and I never rush or put something out that I have doubts about.

What was your favorite scene in Little Nikki Her Journey to Self-Love to write?

My favorite scene in Little Nikki Her Journey to Self-Love is when little Nikki finds the strength to rebuild her self-esteem by using positive affirmations and reciting them in the mirror. The affirmation was "I love myself. I love me and everything about me."

What was the hardest scene in Little Nikki Her Journey to Self-Love to write?

The hardest scene from my book Little Nikki Her Journey to Self-Love was when I was writing about the bullying little Nikki experiences as a child. Writing this scene for me made me relive a lot of painful memories and a lot of the time when I would read over the book I would tear up.
