The writing process for Splinters of My Soul was to draw from thought-provoking imaginary situations, the creativity of character development, the art of wisdom, and diverse viewpoints.
What was your favorite thing in Splinters of My Soul to write?
My favorite thing to write in Splinters of My Soul was the unique character development as characters struggle to work through their various trials (one worse than the other), but their tears come with catharsis and they rise above the challenges to become great pillars of their community.
What were the hardest scenes in Splinters of My Soul to write?
The hardest scenes in Splinters of My Soul to write were the ones exploring the heartfelt agony of a sexual assault with unflinching honesty as well as delving deeply into social issues like police corruption, behavioral health disorders (mental health and substance use), and marital conflicts that sadly happen to real people.
