Game of Thrones began in 2011 to a strong fanbase. It helped that it
was an adaptation of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series
which meant there was already people interested in it. The show
continued going strong and quickly all the world was tuning in to see
what would happen next.
So when it was announced that
the show was ending there was a lot of interest to see how characters
and storylines would end up. The fanbase was so huge at that point that
there were basically factions dividing people into what they liked and
didn't like about the show.
But by the time Game of
Thrones ended, no one wanted to talk about it or give it another
rewatch. It wasn't that the events of Seasons 7 and 8 were sad, it was
that they were painful. In two shortened seasons the show managed to
destroy everything that made it unique.
While there are
way more than ten reasons of why the final two seasons of Game of
Thrones sucked, I do not have time to write a full and comprehensive
list at the moment.
