Dragon Shadows is the first book in Lacey Carter Andersen's Legacy of Blood and Magic series. We are introduced to Kadelynn who is willing to risk certain death by killing a dangerous creature just to escape from her arranged marriage. Drazen who starts out helping Kadelynn for the money but finds himself starting to have feelings for the human woman. Acker and Talin who are on a quest to save magic. And the cruel Lord Gannon Cyrus who wishes to gain the throne and have Kadelynn as his wife.

Not only does he have to duel a vampire and cope with how the return of Susan Rodriguez affects their relationship. He also needs to find the Shroud of Turin before fallen angels can use it to their own ends.
