This time I talk about something in real life: the downsides of people knowing you have a BA in English.

May the Giveaway be Ever in Your Favor (Jash's Dragon Army)
Update: This giveaway is over. I want to thank everyone who participated here. If you can't wait until next giveaway you can go to the Dragon Cave Forums where people will trade and giveaway eggs.
If you would like to learn more about my dragon army you can go HERE. It is constantly evolving and I would love your input on how it is progressing so far.
While the giveaway is over, feel free to continue discussing The Hunger Games series and to participate in the poll.
The Hunger Games got the right kind of adaptation, one that does a good job of getting the story told while keeping it its own thing. I like Katniss because she's not a hero and gets pushed to do a lot of her 'heroic' acts. There's only one time in the series that I'd say she made a decision 100% of her own volition.
And I'm eagerly waiting for the last part of the saga to come out this November. I know there will be tears pouring down my cheeks if they keep one scene from the book.
Figuring my blog readers should get something that I can actually give away.
If you don't already have a Dragon Cave account, you can sign up for one if raising dragon eggs interests you. If you already have an account, pick an egg at will. If you don't have an account and don't want one, please share this with a friend that does.

The Lover in Me 5
I had to keep reminding myself that this was all due to nerves. I wasn't going to die, I was just going to be nervous for a little bit.
Upon reaching Elfangor's hut, I held my claw back from knocking.
Maybe I shouldn't be here, maybe I shouldn't be doing this. But I had to know, I had to.
I knocked on Elfangor's hut and hoped that he wouldn't wake up. Maybe he would just sleep through this and I could go away. He was the Head of the Warrior Department, so of course my wishes were just meaningless.

She isn't Her (Elfangor's Journal)
The thing about love is that it can't be forced. Can't be made. It just has to be created on its on, in its own time.
And Birch...Birch had been extremely affectionate, at least in private, when we became mates. I had even allowed them to name the majority of our offspring Birchkits.
While I did love them, I could never forget my first love: Loren.
