Fifty Shades of Grey (2015) Trailer Review

The day has come that I was dreading: actual proof that this movie is going to come into existence by way of a trailer. Now I have nothing against fanfiction or erotica (I write both myself), but the fact is that Fifty Shades of Grey is poorly written fanfiction and yet is getting so much attention.

I checked it out since I wanted to see how really sex heavy it would be and was disappointed on that front. It was just...too plain in that department for all the outrage it was getting. Seriously, I can write more intense sex scenes without even trying.

And the fact is that every bit of tension is quickly resolved so you're never wondering what will happen. You're never worried because all problems are quickly resolved.

I've read the first two books of the trilogy and will, one day, read the third and final part of it.

Now onto the trailer itself...

And the trailer starts off with announcing it's a Global Trailer. It's telling you that you and the whole world are going to suffer.

Dakota Johnson seems a good fit for the part of Anastasia Steele, at least from what I see in the trailer, as she's supposed to be a very plain character. So plain that it's like she doesn't have a real character. Of course that's probably so the reader/viewer will have an easier time getting into her shoes.

The one good thing about Christian Grey in the trailer is the slow reveal that gives some suspense. But Jamie Dornan just...isn't sexy enough for the role. Grey is supposed to be this sex god and Dornan just doesn't do it for me.

Of course the creepy controlling/stalker part of Christian Grey is shown in the trailer. Why the hell is that supposed to be sexy?

Near the end of the trailer they go into the Red Room of Pain. The trailer ends on Anastasia having an orgasm.

I will end on a positive: loved the music for this trailer. Good job, Beyonce!

Hannibal Season 2 Sneak Peek

http://astore.amazon.com/jashykins-20?_encoding=UTF8&node=20

My favorite show that isn't canceled or ended is Hannibal. Hands down. No questions asked. So at the end of last season I was really worried that Hannibal would not be renewed for a Second Season. Luckily it was renewed.

The above trailer is a mix of both old footage from the previous season and footage from the new season.

Around the first twenty-nine seconds is a recap of where Will stood at the end of the previous season.

One of the creepy things in this trailer is the fact that Hannibal is allowing himself to be investigated. He must have a few tricks up his sleeve if he's prepared to potentially expose himself to the point of no return. And, from later in the trailer, it seems that whatever Hannibal did he didn't expose himself (or else the trailer is lying to us).

Around the one minute and four second mark a creepy rendition of "Stand By Me" starts playing which adds to the dark tone of the trailer.

Will says that he doesn't know if it's worse if he's insane or that Hannibal framed him and locked him up. As this is said as dead bodies help form what looks like an eye.

Well that's nice and happy!

In the trailer Hannibal is shown to attack both Jack and Alana. Now I loathe Jack from what happened at the end of last season, but I ship Alana and Hannibal. So another of my ships is probably going down next season.

Watch the trailer yourself and be ready for the painful wait for next season to increase!

The Walking Dead Season 3 Trailer (Comic-Con)

I cannot tell you how much I am dying for Season 3. I squealed when I saw Merle at the end of the trailer and am glad to see Michone (haven't read the comics yet).

I can see where it could start to go slow but seems like it SHOULD not have the problem of Season 2.

This seems like it's going to be a very interesting Season.

The Host (First Trailer)

I hate The Host more than Twilight. Everything good about Twilight (and, yes, there were a FEW good things) is removed from The Host.

What's sad is that The Host combines a bunch of genres that would usually make me love it no matter what.

The first trailer for this piece of crap has been released.

The trailer looks better than I remember the book being. Only people who like pain should see this (and this coming from someone who thinks The Room is an enjoyable movie).

Prometheus Trailer

I usually don't care about movies coming out. But this is one of the rare ones.

I like the Alien series. The Xenomorphs are cool in any stage of development. So when I first heard about Prometheus (before any of the trailers started coming out) I was interested. Now I am full blown obsessed with seeing this movie.

I finally saw this trailer in theaters and was at the edge of my seat. It was my favorite part of the movie me, Brian, and Jessica saw that day!

Hopefully Ridley Scott will not disappoint.
