A Quickie: Dolores and Maeve in Season 2 (Westworld)

The first season of Westworld was full of twists and turns. It lead you down one path only to throw the rug out from under you. It was extremely exciting and thought provoking so I am eagerly awaiting Season 2. In the mean time I can only go over the first season and theorize on what happens next. This is hard to do as the HBO show makes it difficult to guess what comes next.

What happens between Dolores and Maeve next season really interests me. Will they be allies or enemies when we meet with them again?

Crossing the Divide 44

"Did you find what you needed, Rin?" Daenerys asked.

"I did and I also discovered who did the spell." I told her. "I am glad you decided to allow Jorah to stay."

"For now. Until the threat is resolved I know I can trust him to keep me safe. The Rasiki did a good job with guarding but they left shortly before you arrived."

"To guard a Targaryen is an insult that they were willing to do since I asked. I contacted them before I arrived hence their leaving. I wasn't going to make them stay if they didn't want to."

My queen didn't look happy at that. She wanted the Rasiki at her beck and call. They followed me and she wanted to use that. I didn't blame her for wanting that power. She, Jorah, and myself had all been effected by a spell. None of us knew the exacts of the spell, at least I assumed so, and that meant we didn't know how best to protect ourselves. It was a very scary thing to be under attack by an enemy we didn't understand.

"Will they be back?" Daenerys asked.

"If I ask them to they will." I told her. "But I won't call them unless I need them."

"I understand. You know how Ser Jorah Mormont betrayed me. You've seen the memories of how he conspired with the man who helped kill my family. How could you go away so calmly after learning that? Or did you make up any excuse to flee?"

February 2017 Release (Jash's Dragon Army)

Dragon Cave recently released a new female only dragon breed for Valentine's Day. For those lucky enough not to know the drama: there was a last minute change to the new breed. HERE is what happened.

"She should be staying away from the facility." I reassured Alex. "Even if she does get too close, she shouldn't be able to cause too much damage."

"It's never wise to underestimate her." My husband reprimanded me.

He was right. I should have been the one to remind him how dangerous Alice could be. But I was too anxious as we made our way to the rooftop. These would be the last few minutes before the mission truly began. First there was the helicopter that would take me to the outskirts of an Umbrella base. Then I would pretend to be part of Umbrella. Finally the real work would begin once I made an excuse to go to the cloning facility. All signs pointed towards a shipment needing to go to where I needed to be. I would figure out how to stay in the facility once I got there. Since this mission was one of infiltration I wouldn't be bringing Jorah as the weapon was extremely recognizable. If someone thought I just looked like Rin there would be no confirmation that it was me. At least by sight. But if someone thought I looked like Rin and had her signature weapon, I would be caught and reported. Then the mission would have to be started over.

"I'll trust you and the rest of the council to keep me safe." I told him.

"I will keep you safe if I can." Alex said. "But the rest of the council will be too dimwitted to see what I do."

Subeta HAs: Rin at King's Landing

For awhile I have been wondering what posts I could do about Subeta. I have series I do for Flight Rising and Dragon Cave, so I had to do something for the site I've been on the longest. I just had to. It finally dawned on me that I could do something dealing with Human Avatars (HAs) as that's the part of Subeta that I just adore. My current username on the site is RinKaari.

In this series I will make HAs based on my original characters, characters from movies, items, ect. If you want to suggest a future HA challenge just comment and I'll see what I can do.

Today is one variation of my Original Character (OC) Rin from my Game of Thrones/Resident Evil fanfiction the Rin Duology. Throughout the fic she goes between the Game of Thrones tv universe and the Resident Evil movie universe. I've been trying for a long time to get her done right as a HA. Besides the HA I'm about to show you, I've tried two other times to find something I'm happy with. This one isn't perfect even for the scenario, but I'm pleased with it.

The version of Rin I'm covering today is during her time in King's Landing. For those not familiar with Game of Thrones, it's basically where the center of the Seven Kingdom's government is. Anyways...Rin was captured by Jaime Lannister and the kingsguard when she gave birth to her son Jeor Kaari, named after her husband's father. Upon arriving in the city she was tortured by then Queen Cersei Lannister and only stayed because Jaime held something over her. The something was Jeor's identity being kept secret and her ancestral sword being kept safe. Later she was able to get her freedom by defeating the Undead Mountain and effectively overthrowing Cersei. As she overthrew the old queen she was readily accepted by the people of King's Landing as the new Queen.

Rin was heavily scarred because of her torture and so she wears revealing clothing to reassure herself that she's still desirable.

There is a lot more that happened but I didn't want to waste too much of your time. So I only gave as much information as was needed to give the HA some context.

A Quickie: Initial Thoughts on a Graphic Novel (Animorphs)

First I want to thank Hirac Delest for posting this image. Before I saw them post this tweet one of the Animorphs groups I'm in mentioned the news. I didn't want to hope another adaptation was underway. If I hoped there was an adaptation and none came into being I would be more than disappointed.

But since Applegate's twitter confirmed a graphic novel, I felt the need to get my initial thoughts out.

Just a warning that I didn't do research into this and these are merely my initial reactions. If more information comes out I might post about it. If I don't do so on my blog I might do so on my Twitter and/or Facebook.
