Motherhood in Raised by Wolves

Raised by Wolves is one of the oddest shows I've ever watched. The HBO Max science fiction show is good, though it took a few episodes to really enjoy myself. There are many themes to examine but today I'll only look at one.

Motherhood has been explored throughout the show's two seasons. Mother (also called Lamia) is a main character who is tasked with raising humans. There are also other parents. So having a detailed account of every instance of the theme of motherhood wouldn't be possible in such a short post.

So I'll limit myself to two characters in Season 2.

Raised by Wolves Season 2 (Mini-Review)

Raised by Wolves Season 2 picks up shortly after the first season ended. After crashing in the Tropical Zone, Mother must deal with Number 7. But her fight against her serpent son is made harder by the colony of atheists and revelations about her child. Marcus continues to follow "Sol" and tries to regain his power. Who is Sol? What does the entity want? With every answer there are even more questions. Raised by Wolves Season 2 was released on HBO Max in 2022.
