Title: Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol
Series: Mission: Impossible
Director: Brad Bird
Starring: Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, and Simon Pegg
Rated: PG-13
Released: 2011
Personal Rating: 4.5/5
Oscars: None
Basic Plot: The IMF is shut down when it's implicated in the bombing of the Kremlin, causing Ethan Hunt and his new team to go rogue to clear their organization's name.
The "Hype"
I put hype in quotation marks since the "hype" I'm talking about was reviewers saying it was a good movie. Mind you these reviewers (none of them professionals in the normal sense) weren't excited to see this. But walked out happy. After seeing this movie I must agree: The Mission: Impossible series is not dead!
The Opening Credits
The opening credits sequence was awesome. The reason I liked it so much was that it didn't interrupt the film at all. It managed to stay out of the way (while taking up maybe a minute or so) and foreshadowed about what would happen later in the film. One of the best opening credits that I have seen this year.
Simon Pegg
Pegg's character (Benji) is a pleasant edition to the series. I've read that he was in M:I3, but I haven't seen that movie yet. So this is the first M:I movie I've seen him in. Benji keeps Simon Pegg's charm but also adds a bad assery to him (especially near the very end of the film).
Final Thoughts
I found this to be a very enjoyable film to watch. Though I think that the experience would've been better in IMAX. ESPECIALLY where Ethan Hunt scales the tall glass building. It seems that there was confusion if this film was a reboot. The answer: it isn't! The film introduces a replacement for Ethan Hunt, though.

Dan Savage at High School (2012)
Here is the thing that's getting people up in arms. Notice the people walking away from hearing the truth.
If you'd be one of the people walking away: *facepalms*
For those that want to point out the story about Sodom: it was about HOSPITALITY and not HOMOSEXUALITY!

The Avengers (2012) (Film Brain)
Don't worry, Film Brain doesn't say any major spoilers in this review.
With Film Brain's praise for this movie, I'm even more excited to see it. Especially glad that the new guy playing The Hulk does a good job (yeah, I remember the whole Edward Norton fiasco).

The Green: Spreading 4
One of the interns brought me some tea. I thanked her and took a sip. Not the best, but I didn't mind. I was out on a mission to stop Gralg. Plague looked at me and I replied with a smile. He then put a hand on my shoulder and I realized I had to be serious. Whatever the cause was for this mission, I had to be calm and controlled to everyone but Plague.
"So, Noir, you know why you were called here?" One of the interns asked.
"Yes," I replied. When the two interns looked confused, I realized my mistake. "We both know why we are here. There's an unusual case."
"Who are you?" The other intern asked.
"His name is Matthias." Plague replied. "I'm sorry that he replied for me. We've both been cooped up for months."
"So then you know about the woman who isn't affected by Gralg?" One of the interns asked. She had blonde hair and a tired look to her eyes. "We thought maybe you'd be able to tell us why she hasn't gone into rage zombie mode."
"From what I could find out from George Hunder, she should be affected." Plague replied.
"Do you have any experience?" The male intern asked suspiciously.
"A little. Matthias doesn't have any, though." Was Plague's reply. "But this is purely a scouting mission for now."
A short while later the two interns began to take us to the woman. The woman intern's name turned out to be Susan Helms. She was nervous. I made sure that my gun could be easily taken out. But why should I be worried? This woman wouldn't be a rage zombie and there'd be no danger to any of us.
Susan and the other intern stood outside the door. Plague opened the door and I followed him. The pregnant woman didn't respond at all.
"She's not breathing." I said after looking at her chest.
He nodded and went over to her. He bent down and looked at her crotch. His face quickly turned to a horrified expression. As he opened his mouth to speak, I saw a blur going towards him.
In one swift motion I took out my gun and shot at the blur. A baby's laughter followed the bang from my gun. I looked for Plague and saw him hit the blur and then get up. I ran to stand in front of him but then the blur went behind him and we were both pushed to the ground.
Plague got up and I shot at the blur. After I shot, Plague aimed at the blur. When he shot I aimed at the blur. Suddenly a tentacle, that reminded me of an artery, came towards me. It nearly knocked me off my feet while Plague finally shot the blur.
I ran over to the blur and stepped on the baby's head. Blood touched both Plague and I. His face turned green but mine stayed calm. A feeling of happiness came over me. We were both safe.
The two interns rushed in and the man screamed. I suddenly realized that babies meant something to people. So why didn't I feel sad at its death at all?

Xone of Contention (Piers Anthony)
Title: Xone of Contention
Series: Xanth
Author: Piers Anthony
Released: 1999
Rating: 3.5/5
Basic Plot: Dug, the Mundane who had had an adventure in Xanth through the Companions of Xanth computer game, is now happily married to Kim. His friend Edsel on the other hand is on the rock with his marriage to Pia, Dug's old girlfriend, who wants a divorce. Edsel, not wanting to lose her strikes a deal with her, they take a two week vacation in Xanth, switching with Nimby and Chlorine who want to learn about Mundania, and if she doesn't change her mind, he won't fight it.
Global Warming is Bad!
My opinion on Global Warming is for another post, but suffice it to say that this book involves a commentary on Global Commentary. If that is about to make you pass this up, be aware that the message isn't clear (though CoTwo being bad is evident) nor does it seem to be forcing anything. Which is bad and good at the same time. Good because it doesn't mean that I have to read a book with a message. But bad in that it makes calling the enemy CoTwo seem odd. You could've picked a different name!
So Many Puns
Sometimes the number of can become overwhelming. So if you live by me and saw a woman running around screaming, that was me. And, lady, I was talking about your cat. As with any Xanth novel, puns are part of the territory. It can be funny, but you might feel annoyed every now and again.
Marriage
Edsel keeping his marriage with Pia is the nexus of this edition to the Xanth series. I think Anthony did a very good job in making the conclusion believable. If a lesser ending was made it'd seem forced. I know we all like happy endings, but they have to be believable. Unless it means a hot, sexy guy surviving. I love you, Derek Reese! Why won't you return my calls! And being dead isn't an excuse!
Final Thoughts
If you've read a Xanth novel before, this is the same thing. This won't make you a fan. And be prepared for your childhood love to look very different. I remember enjoying Xanth novels much more when younger. However, this book was still good. I found myself caring for the characters and wanting to see them 'win' at the end of the day! In short: if you love puns and magic, you should enjoy this book.

As I show this video I jumped in joy. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Yes, folks, Fringe is getting a fifth season! The current season won't be our last! While I am sad Fringe will be drawing to a close, I am happy that it's going to be able to end on its own terms.

A Song for Norman Reedus
I did not write this song. However, I like it very much and so am posting it here. Reedus' character on The Walking Dead (Daryl) is my favorite in the series.

The Moojas Ghost
This is a classic before my blogging days. Where I never thought I'd ever blog. It was originally released in 2007.
------------------------------
There she was, standing in front of me. Tonight, on the beach, she seemed as though she wasn't herself. She was looking down, as though embarrassed at what she was going to tell me. "Vera," I said to her and lifted her head up with my right hand, and noticed how cold she felt. "No matter what you say, I won't hate you. We've been together these three years and I'm not about to give you up now."
"I…" She said and stopped. After a few minutes, she looked into my eyes, and a tear came out of her left eye. "I'm dead."
I put my hands on her shoulder and looked down into her face. "You're not dead. I heard there was some excitement with that old weirdo. What was his name…" I closed my eyes to concentrate and opened them back up slowly. "Eric?"
"Yes." Vera said and sighed. "He was a necromancer, one of the finest. He understood death better than even Death itself could. He killed me and enslaved my soul. Without the help of some friends, I would still be under his command."
I shook my head; the salty aroma of the water must be getting to me. "You're not dead!" I yelled fiercely and shook her. "You hear me! You're not dead! You're still alive!" I tried to shake out my doubts; Eric couldn't have been a necromancer. Though I hated him, and thought he was a pervert, I couldn't imagine him resorting to necromancy or messing with my flower. My Vera, the most precious flower of the earth.
I pressed her into me, hoping she could feel my warmth. Hoping this fit of hers would pass. Closing my eyes, I tried to comfort myself, also, and suddenly fell face first into the sand. I picked myself up and blinked the sand out of my eyes. As I got up, I stopped myself. I was inside of Vera. It was as though she was a hologram from some sci-fi movie.
As soon as I recovered, I went to my original position and looked at Vera; which, now meant I looked at and through her. I covered my mouth and coughed. I removed my hand from my mouth, and tried to resume a normal expression, her translucent eyes sparkled with light from a higher plane. "It's okay, Caliban." Vera said and smiled. "It took me awhile to get used to how I am now. I doubt it'll be easy for you."
"It's not easy." I laughed weakly and shook my head. "It's not easy to know you're not you anymore. That you're…I don't know what you are. I can't classify you into any species that I know of."
"Jessica says I should be called a Moojas Ghost, since using Moojas is what allows me to keep to this plane of existence." Vera said and laughed. "But…Moojas?" She let out a sigh. "I don't like Moojas, but that's just the correct term."
"Moojas." I said dryly and looked at her. "Moojas? Some almighty force of the spirit realm; and it's called Moojas?"
Vera laughed, like she had when she was living. "It connected me first by Eric, and it also extended itself to connect me to this plane by using living creatures." She said. "Sort of like when you enter the internet. I just use creature's life forces to connect me to this plane of existence."
"So you're using me to connect you to life?" I asked and put a hand to my head. "Yeah…that makes sense. Total sense. My girlfriend is a ghost! Yes, this all makes sense. I'm sure that if I think about it in some way, it will." I started pacing around and ignored Vera; I was trying to calm myself.
The thought of her not being herself flooded my mind, I could hardly think. How could I be in love with a ghost and why was she still here? Wasn't she supposed to go wherever dead people went? I looked at Vera; she had again taken on her past life's form. "Why are you here?" I asked her. "Shouldn't you be in Heaven? You are dead. You shouldn't be clinging onto life."
Vera looked at me and placed her cold hand on my face; I leaned into her palm and looked into her face. She was my flower, and I was her gardener. Her full lips complimented her starry eyes. "I need to know that you'll be fine when I leave." She told me and I felt like I was dying. "Caliban, I need to know if you can live without me."
* * *
"Don't worry about Harv and Kasey," I told Vera between bites. "I'm sure they didn't see anything. I've met Harv before; you shouldn't take his word seriously. Hopefully, Kasey won't be taken in by Harv's madness."
Vera sighed and looked at my dinner; her face was pained as she looked at my plate and then at her empty space. I put my fork down and also gave a sigh. Suddenly, I wasn't hungry anymore. It was so painful to see Vera not eating while I ate, and to know she should have moved on, but was only staying here because of me. If only there was some food I could offer her. "It's okay, Caliban," Vera said and gave me a weak smile that was supposed to inspire hope in me. It didn't work. "I am fully fed in this form. As for Harv…you will learn to like him. He might be slow, and possibly retarded, but he is a person you should have in battle."
"Everything isn't war." I replied angrily and knew she was just defending a friend, like I would have for her. Jealous of Harv for being involved in a part of Vera's life that I hadn't been? Just thinking of how she hadn't even tried to contact me through that rough time. She should have, no matter the costs. "In normal situations, a report of a necromancer is to be trusted if it's from someone of higher intelligence than Harv."
"Caliban, you know Harv was the first one to hear me in my pains." Vera said.
"No, that's not true, Vera." I replied. "You went out to contact him, you forgot…me. You knew I'd be the first one to come and rescue you."
"You know that's not true!" Vera yelled as only a Moojas Ghost could. Her features seemed to assume an expression more sorrowful than that of the most miserable mortal. "There are just some people who can sense the other realms better than others. Harv is one of those people."
"Yeah, sensing the spirit world better, is he?" I asked angrily. "And I thought you said Jessica was the best person to sense the spirit realm among your little group. Why wasn't she the one to hear your call and rescue you?"
"Because she was dealing with something else and couldn't sense me." She replied quickly. "Do you know how hard it is to sense someone when you can sense so many others? There was an imbalance that was bothering her, and it wasn't until Harv pointed me out that she could sense me."
I got up from the table and then walked to the kitchen to get some dessert. Vera's argument sounded so good that I couldn't find any reason to argue with it. She wasn't dating Harv, if I thought about it clearly, so I didn't have any reason to worry about that. I took out an ice cream carton from the freezer, scooped myself some ice cream, and put the carton back in the freezer, and then went back to the table.
As I took my first bite, Vera sighed. "Future scholar Anna is expecting me to go over to her house tomorrow." She said. "I'm just afraid the necromancer, that Harv sensed, is going to get me. I'm a Moojas Ghost! I'm a valuable item to necromancers. Luckily, he can't also abuse my body."
"Yeah, your other 'friends' took care of that problem." I said and looked down into my ice cream. "How can a friend do that without any thought? I would never do such a disgraceful act. I believe they have crossed the line and are going to go to Hell soon."
"Then I'll be going to Hell also, Caliban." She insisted. "I'm the one who agreed they do that to me. If anyone should be going to Hell, it should be me. I've been to Hell, and it's not a place for you to talk about. You have to have been there to really understand the horrors. The horrors…so many horrors that you can't even imagine; one breath of Hell's foul air is enough to kill any mortal man."
I nodded, trying to hide a fear that was about to take over me. No, my Vera would not go there. She is an angel too perfect to go to Hell. She is my own, and no one else's. Never can someone claim power over her, for she belongs to me. "No, you won't go there. Someone like you could never go there." I replied.
"And do you think my friends should go there?" Vera hissed. "You think that those who helped to free me should get eternal punishment? Those that care for me just as you do?" She shook her head. "Do I love you, hypocrite?"
I walked over to Vera and placed a hand on her shoulder, it turned vaporous and my hand fell down to the chair. I pulled my hand back up and sighed. "No, Vera, I wouldn't want that on any of your friends." With her sadness, I had the feelings for her friends become real. I didn't want her to feel so sad, and if her friends went, she would go too. I couldn't have her go, I needed her. Here. "Your friends chose well, and they haven't used you or abused you. They are good friends."
Vera gave a slight smile. "Yes, they are. I hope you know what the different kinds of Hell are." She said and looked at me. "There is more than one kind of hell. Fire and brimstone is only one kind of hell, there are others that appear to be a bright summer's day. Oh, if only you could recognize Hell and torture. Maybe then I would be free."
"But you're with me!" I replied quickly. "I'm here. How can you be tortured if you're with me? Am I that horrible? That cruel?" My head went down in shame and a tear came to my eye. "Do you know what hell it would be if you left me? I couldn't stand it, I couldn't live."
"It is not that I hate you, nor that I want to forsake your company." She quickly stated. "It's just that I should be moving on, and I fully realize that now. Maybe it was in some vain dream that I thought I could live like this. I belong with the rest of the dead."
"Come on; let's take a little walk outside." I said and took her hand; she had turned her whole body solid. I felt a little sad as we stepped out of the front door and looked up at the stars. They seemed so far away, and felt as if they controlled my destiny.
Vera veered off and we went into the small forest behind my house. The trees weren't spectacular, but they did give my backyard a foreign look. It was as if I was going off into a different world. She finally stopped me in the center of a small clearing; at least that is what I called it. It was a place where the trees stood around in a circle, tiny thin trees, and you could look up into the sky without fear of any distractions.
"Do you see those?" Vera asked and pointed up to the sky. "Those are stars burning for different planets, and some are even outside of our own galaxy. Just like the amount of suns, there are many different planes of existence. Some of which are for the living, and some of which are for the dead. Hell and Heaven are each one plane. But the types of life, and death, extend to all of the planes."
"But only in this plane can I see you." I said sadly and looked into her eyes. "Even if you're in paradise, I'll be here in Hell without you. I might not be in the plane of Hell, but it will be real enough for me."
"Your greed is only for yourself, but I still love you." She said. "And I won't deny that. I will stay here until you tell me I can move on, I still care for you. It needs to be your decision, not mine."
I nodded and felt my breath leave me. "Somehow, I think this will be anything but peaceful, for either of us." I said and looked up at the stars. "I do still love you, but I want you here. I don't want to lose you, or forget you ever lived. I need you here, by me. But, I promise, I will be able to live without you one day." I wondered if what I said was even true anymore.
* * *
There we were, right in front of Anna's house, and a cold wind had started. Turning to my right side, I saw Vera standing in all her glory. The cold wind continued and I could sense the end coming quickly. Whether it would take away me or my Vera, I didn't know. All I knew was that I wanted to make these last few minutes count.
"Vera, you sure you're going to be okay tonight?" I asked. "Even Jessica has now picked something up and says you shouldn't come here until it passes. Something bad will happen if you really want to stay here tonight." I put a hand on her shoulder.
"Whatever is planned for me, I will be ready." Vera said and smiled at me. "It will end happily, but it might not seem that way to either of us. Sometimes happiness can't be found while the good is happening, but we'll see it eventually. I promise, tonight will have a happy ending."
I sighed and we walked to Anna's front door. Her archway made the light dim and the small light above her door cast a foreboding feeling. This was the end. My foot splashed into some water, I continued walking until I saw blood trickling from underneath the door. I picked up my foot and noticed that I had stepped into the blood. I turned and saw that Vera had turned invisible. "Open the door; I'll be right behind you." Vera whispered into my ear and I gulped. The air was tensed for battle.
I opened the door slowly, not wanting for anything to surprise me. Finally, the door opened and a head tumbled out. There was a bright flash of light and I fell backwards. My head slammed to the ground and I felt a burst of heat. Screams of devils erupted from inside my mind, and then Anna's head tumbled over my palm. I yelled as I felt blood splatter onto me and noticed that part of Anna's small intestines was inside my mouth. I stood up and spat it out. The door had been blown inward and there was a clash of metal that could be heard.
"Vera!" I yelled and ran inside, ducking as objects flew past my head. I was blown into a wall and when I recovered enough, I noticed a large shard of glass in my arm. I pulled it out and looked for the enemy. As the blood trickled out, I focused on my goal. I was now close enough to hear words, they were spells uttered by a young boy. The necromancer, most likely.
I saw the necromancer grab onto the air and hiss something that, from where I stood, sounded more like a snake's noise than actual speech. He then turned to me and his face seemed boyish, like it belonged to a boy playing baseball. As though he was supposed to be playing in a mountain lake, doing anything but what he was doing now.
"So, you're Caliban." He said and smiled. "I am James, grandson of Eric the Necromancer. It's good that you'll see the enslavement of your girlfriend." James looked at the glass shard. "And you expect to hurt ME with that? I am no mere apprentice, young sir."
"You are a young boy." I said to him. "I am your senior in age, now let Vera go and I'll let you live!"
"Let me live?" James spat. "You think that you can tell me when I'll die? I am a master of death. I will tell you when you'll die, not the other way around." Suddenly I was grabbed and I turned to see Anna's corpse grabbing me. Her neck held thin tissues of where her head used to be, her skin hardly existed anymore, and she had no more organs inside of her. "This is your end, good-bye."
"No!" I yelled out and I felt my soul being murdered. "NO! VERA!" I yelled and struggled with Anna's corpse, losing the glass shard in the process. Strangely, Anna's corpse was much stronger than me and I couldn't hold out much longer.
"Caliban, there is a significant imbalance now!" Vera yelled and I could feel soul splitting pain in her voice. "Caliban, can you live without me!"
I felt tears go down my face, and blind my vision. I knew that now I had a chance to save Vera, forever. Forever she would be able to be free. Free in Heaven and singing with all the angels. A time of great rejoicing, but I would be here. I would be here. Here dying without her near. Oh, Vera, why? Why do you have to go? But those thoughts of keeping Vera here were selfish; I couldn't endanger her, not now. I must show I was the caring boyfriend that I always talked of being.
"Vera, go!" I yelled. "I…can live…without you! Enjoy eternity! LEAVE ME HERE!" My voice broke and suddenly a loud sound rang through my spirit and I fell down, Anna's corpse had lost all of its power and also fell down. I got up and I saw James dead. I ran to the phone to call the police. Afterwards, I leaned on the counter and cried. I was alive and she was gone, she was in Heaven and was not to be worried about. I had lost and saved Vera at the same time. There would be no one who could replace her, and now I must wander through this hell to be up in Heaven with her. I knew she would wait for me, I just knew.

* * *
* * *

Marty's Choice (The Cabin in the Woods)
I talk about one thing that really pissed me off in this movie. I still love Marty, though!

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (Gag Reel)
Are you biting your nails in anticipation of my T3 review? No, you aren't. But, to pass the time, here is the gag reel for the movie:
Box Office Sunday (April 22, 2012)
Is The Hunger Games defeated? Does The Lucky One take its place? And, most importantly, what are all these chimps doing here!
The Green: Spreading 3
Plague turned the shower off and didn't seem happy. When he stepped out I didn't think he was mad either. I stepped out of the shower and looked down at my penis. Even though I loved Plague more than stopping Gralg, I had trouble getting hard for him. Plague's body was angelic and my penis couldn't muster the strength to worship him.
"I'm sorry." I told him and started to dry myself off. "I don't know why it wouldn't get up today."
Plague replied with a shrug. After we got dressed he finally said, "I don't mind. We'll find a solution one day."
I nodded but I didn't believe it. I knew, from the way the scientists had spoken about sex, that it was important in a relationship. And if I couldn't please Plague, would we last? I shook my head. First defeat Gralg and then there'll be time to think about my sex life.
After packing up, I took the wheel and Plague took shotgun. There was a long drive ahead of us and it was mostly quiet. Not because of what happened in the shower this morning, but because we were focused on what could happen. After two hours a small conversation started to form.
Finally I let my feelings out, "Do you think we'll last?"
Plague stared at me for a moment. "You understand that your...problem isn't unique, right?" He finally replied. "You just have more trouble than most people. I don't think you like me less because of something you can't control."
"But you aren't pleasured by me as you could be by another man."
"That's not the point. We can get you something if you want."
"That would be good." I said and the problem was washed away. Plague put a hand on my leg and smiled at me.
However, I couldn't get it out of my head that I wasn't into men. It was so hard to get hard. But I also felt love for Plague that made my body and mind at odds with one another.
Finally we arrived. The hospital was in Gold City, Montana. Luckily, Gold City wasn't hit by Gralg yet. Though there had been traces of Gralg spotted elsewhere in Montana.
As we walked towards the door, two interns were there to greet us.

The Cabin in the Woods (2012)
Title: The Cabin in the Woods
Director: Drew Goddard
Starring: Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth and Anna Hutchison
Writers: Joss (FUCKING) Whedon and Drew Goddard
Rated: R
Released: 2012
Personal Rating: 6/5
Oscars: N/A
Basic Plot: Five friends go for a break at a remote cabin in the woods, where they get more than they bargained for. Together, they must discover the truth behind the cabin in the woods.
Horror Comedy and Insight
Long and short of it is that this movie is self-aware. In many points of the movie there are little jokes that will have you laughing and then screaming. It isn't afraid to poke fun at the horror genre (like the classic 'group splits off and are easily picked off'). What's great about the movie's self-awareness is that it shows different viewpoints on horror movies. WHILE IT IS, ITSELF, A HORROR MOVIE! While you might think you'll have to think during this movie: be assured that it isn't hard to understand and the movie guides you along.
The Stoner Knows All
The Stoner (aka Marty/The Fool) is the first one to realize that something isn't right. He tries to warn people but they don't listen. He's like the stand-in for those in the audience that yell at the screen for the people not to do stupid things. He recommends not splitting up, not opening the door, and other things. It's sort of funny that someone stoned out of their mind can pick apart horror movie cliches. Does he die by the end of the movie? I'll just say his death isn't shown on screen.
The End "Battle Scene"
The end of the movie is a total gore fest. According to sources, a reaver (yes, the ones from Firefly!) appears briefly in the movie. Since I didn't know what they look like I'd need to see it again to confirm it. Anyways, the creatures that are released cause total hell. The hallway with the elevator will be burned into your mind long after you leave the theater. Also look out for a killer clown and unicorn.
Final Thoughts
This is a kickass movie. It scared me, made me think, and made me laugh. I loved it all! This movie more than lives up to its hype. In fact, it goes way over the hype. If you're looking for a new twist on the horror genre, this is the movie. I am a Joss Whedon fan (and shame on all those of you who don't know who Whedon is!) and that was part of the reason I wanted to see this. Finally, sorry random woman I talked to in the bathroom. Fangirls will be fangirls.

Best Song in The Cabin in the Woods
Last (by Nine Inch Nails) plays during the credits. I found it to fit perfectly after the ending of the movie. This is really the reason I stayed for the Credits. I heard this and I couldn't leave my seat.

Hot Problems the new Friday
I admit I don't share everyone's view of music. But Hot Problems (by Double Take) isn't good by any standards. The beat is good in the beginning but once the girls start singing you'll think you've died and went to Hell.
The song is about how hot girls have problems too and the only difference is that they're hot. I'm not jealous of "hot" people, but they don't make good cases for how they're normal.
For your pain, the video is down below. Unfortunately I couldn't place it in the bowls of Hell (still working on that part).

Day of Silence (2012)
National Day of Silence (for those few that don't know) is the day of the year when people in support of gay rights are silent (to reflect the silence gays have to endure). Those who are participating hand out cards/pamphlets to explain to others why they aren't speaking. It's something for those who are in school. It is the 17th time this has happened! I am glad that it is still going on. In honor of today (April 20, 2012) here is something mocking those that let their religion think for them instead of themselves.

The Green: Spreading 2
Searching had done nothing. Three months and I still hadn't gotten any leads that had pleased Plague. Especially any that he'd even look at. Sipping at my tea I turned to look at the TV. It was again giving another Gralg Update. I turned away when even the reporter couldn't keep the tears out of her eyes.
"You okay, Matthias?" Plague asked.
Turning to him I said, "Three months, Plague. In that time the whole USA has been nearly taken over."
"We couldn't have done anything to stop it."
I threw my cup against the wall. "Fucking bullshit!" I yelled. "Total fucking bullshit. The only reason we haven't been able to do shit is because of you!"
Plague sighed. It was amazing how calm he could remain in times of stress. Like it was just an average day.
"I don't like this happening anymore than you." He replied. "But I have rules I have to follow. You don't. You could've left anytime you wanted to."
I kept my attention at the tea crawling down the wall. I didn't want to admit that I had made a mistake.
"I could change that now." I replied. "I'm going now to stop it from spreading to Canada."
A slight smile formed over his mouth and I didn't know why. For a moment he was silent and then he said, "Let me see if I can come with you."
As he went over to the computer I realized that I didn't want to go without him. I didn't want to go without someone having my back. And who else than my lover? The one who had helped me greatly so far?
For a few hours I watched the Gralg Updates. I wanted to stop it from spreading any further. And I realized that I'd have to choose between stopping Gralg and being with Plague. Taking that decision any further wasn't something I wanted to do. Not ever.
"Good news." Plague finally said and I rushed over to him. "There's a hospital by the US/Canada Border. The hospital needs some help and then we can go stop the spread of Gralg."
I leaned over to better look at the screen and smiled. "Thank you." I said.

A rumor has recently popped up about Dead Space 3. What is the rumor? Well, unfortunately, only of the game's existence. I really hope that this rumor proves to be true. I loved the first two games (and Dead Space: Extraction) and can't wait to see a third!
Note: I haven't actually played any of the games. I don't have enough co-ordination in my fingers to use any controller except the ones for the Wii and Kinect. I also haven't bought Dead Space: Extraction. However, I have watched Let's Plays and have kept up with the series.

Dream House (2011)
Title: Dream House
Director: Jim Sheridan
Starring: Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, and Naomi Watts
Rated: PG-13
Released: 2011
Personal Rating: 4.5/5
Oscars: None
Basic Plot: Soon after moving into their seemingly idyllic new home, a family learns of a brutal crime committed against former residents of the dwelling.
The Trailers
One reason that people don't like Dream House is the fact that the trailer gave a lot away. The one or two trailers for this movie I saw did give a little away. Especially saying Will Atintin is Peter Ward. However, if you didn't watch a lot of trailers you should have a better enjoyment of the movie.
A Messy Script
I know what went on behind the scenes. How the making of this movie was a big mess. However, I like the final product. I'm sure it could've been better. But, as is, it's nothing to complain about.
MPD
I understand that the name of this mental disorder has changed, but I will always refer to it as MPD (aka Multiple Personality Disorder). I love movies about those who don't have a good grip on reality. Such as Secret Window, Total Recall, and Shutter Island among others. Will (Daniel Craig) suffered so much from killing his family that he creates a fantasy world in which they are still alive. However, I don't consider it a twist. This is because it's easy to see within five to ten minutes of the movie. But, to make up for that, there is a final twist revealed at the end.
Final Thoughts
I like this movie. Daniel Craig, horror movie, Rachel Weiz, and Naomi Watts in a film together! Plus the story unfolds at a good pace. Even when I guessed what was happening it still managed to send chills through my mind. The scene where Will/Peter goes back to his home to find out what happens rock. Because Will/Peter is actually questioning himself.

Prometheus Viral Video (David)
I can't wait until Prometheus comes to theaters. If you get in my way, be prepared for the consequences.
These viral videos for the movie aren't helping. I love evil robots and Prometheus has Michael Fassbender (aka Magneto) as one.
This viral video shows a robot that appears kind but there's something underneath. The fact that it can tell human emotions but can't feel them himself is revealing. How he reacts shows he can feel and you can tell that he lies at certain points.
All in all a great performance. In my opinion, robots aren't one sided nor can they be in any type of fiction. And a subtle performance like Fassbender is doing is the way to go.

CISPA aka The New SOPA
I am very glad that SOPA didn't pass. I am grateful for all the action that was taken to prevent it. Now there is CISPA that focuses more on the cyber threats. However, it could be just as deadly.
I understand that cyber threats are VERY real (I'm not new to the interwebs, after all), but the wording of the bill is vaguely worded.
Here are some videos discussing it:
NOTE: This is what I've seen so far today. So, if interested in the subject, research on your own. I might do another post on this with an expanded view of my opinions.

Battleship Review (Film Brain)
This is a review by Film Brain (real name Matthew Buck). When a movie comes out early in England (where he lives) he'll do a review. While he is a MUCH more harsh critic than me, I can still always take away something from his reviews.
From his review I can see that it'll be one I'm most likely going to see on DVD, most likely.
The reason: LIAM NEESON DOESN'T FIGHT THE ALIENS!
You're telling me you have a fucking badass and you don't use him! Then why have him there at all!
I admit the badness of the movie doesn't scare me off, as I will see a movie because it's bad.
Whether it's bad or not...I'll wait until I see it to give it my own review.

Fringe "The Consultant" Review
Walter can't bring over a casserole but he can bring over a severed hand? Well, at least the rest of the episode is more normal than that!
Box Office Sunday (April 15, 2012)
The Cabin in the Woods came out this week! So did it put The Three Stooges in their place?
The Green: Spreading 1
As was becoming normal for my routine with Plague, I was sipping my cup of tea. Plague was doing Sudoku while letting his tea cool. If I even tried to suggest something he would bring up my bad relationship with boredom. But this time it was different. George Hunder knew who I was. John Johnson.
Finally I couldn't take it anymore. I walked over to Plague and touched his shoulder. He looked up at me and his expression turned sour quickly.
"Matthias, we have to stay here." He told me firmly.
"But why?" I asked.
"I told you before, we don't have any leads."
"That's because you haven't helped me with looking." I said angrily.
"No, we haven't been given anything." Plague replied. "That means we haven't gotten any authorization."
I knew what would make him change his mind. Make him more of a rebel, in a sense. So I bent down and kissed him on the lips. Kissing had been difficult for me at first, but I had improved. When he pushed back I knew I had him. After a few minutes we pulled away.
Plague smiled and said, "You're growing up. You're using your attractiveness to open doors." He paused for a moment. "I must say it worked. I'll grant leeway if you get a good lead."
I kissed him again, but meant it. There was a difference in the second kiss. It felt natural.
Over the next few hours I surfed the web. Though it felt more like drowning in the web to me. There were no solid leads. Some people were noticing Gralg, but nothing that could be used.
Then, like the big bang, there was a lead. It was something out of nothing. But, that being said, Plague wouldn't buy it. The site was one formed by conspiracy theorists. They talked about something similar to Gralg, in some aspects, but completely different in others.
The biggest difference was that their Gralg was a bio-weapon made by the government. What was their Gralg supposed to do? To do what Gralg was doing: making 'rage zombies'. Or, in calmer terms, making people attack each other.
All in all, Plague wouldn't take any leads from this website. So I continued to search.

Sushi, Sake, and Tanuki: Shinto and For Love
I give a brief synopsis of Sushi, Sake, and Tanuki: Shinto and give a preview of the next section.

Sushi, Sake, and Tanuki: Shinto
Location: Japan
The sea air breathed life into my human nose. I was in human form except for my raven wing-arms. Hijunaki, the snake demon, was tasting the air with his tongue. While I was getting a feeling of love, the kind I allowed myself, he didn't seem to be feeling anything. Though it seemed he was calming down.
Thousand of years had passed, but we still weren't friends. There are some things that time can't change. Not even after eternities have passed.
"Yomosa." Hijunaki finally said. "Yomosa."
"What is Yomosa, Master Hijunaki?" I asked, deciding it was best to address him with a respected title.
"Yomosa is a person, not a thing." He hissed angrily. "Yomosa is a lovely woman that the Sun himself is jealous of. For she provides more light than him."
"I don't recall seeing her." A horrifying idea suddenly occurred to me. "And if I have already bedded her, I ask your forgiveness."
As I started to bow, Hijunaki laughed. I didn't know what it meant so I finished my bow and held it.
"As much as I love to see you bowing, Rig, it is impossible for you to have bedded her." He said. "I haven't allowed you to leave my palace, unless it was with me."
I remembered finding Yamaka's body. Eaten by some creature or creatures.
I stood up and laughed out of relief. "Do you realize it's been thousands of years since you went after a woman? That you felt love for a woman?"
"It's not love." Hijunaki hissed. Though I knew that Hijunaki could love. He had loved Yamaka and he would probably love Yomosa the same. "But now is not the time to get her. I must think some more."
With that I flew, while Hijunaki slithered, back to Hijunaki's Palace. Once there I went to my room. After getting to my room I felt myself go back in time.
I was running after a woman through a forest. She was naked and I was naked. She was saying something but I couldn't understand it. Finally I caught up to her and she turned around. I saw the stab wound through her heart and knew who she was.
"You killed me!" She said and laughed.
I finally woke myself up and saw a drawing on my wall of the woman. I had drawn it during one of my many lonely nights. And why wouldn't I get nostalgic about her? Sajoki had been my first love. Someone who I had loved naively. Who had betrayed me.
I suddenly realized what I was doing and started painting over the picture with my own blood.
* * *
Meditation was something I wasn't good at. I really didn't care if I was good at it or not. But now I needed my mind to rest to think of how I could get Yomosa here. Seduction was something I could use. Humans were stupid and easy to lure. It was a shame, then, that I wasn't created an incubus.
Of course, life had made me want to become an incubus. Not my nature. Or at least Jirou told me. I didn't believe that shit. What I believed was seduction could open all kind of doors with humans. If Hijunaki wanted Yomosa, it meant that she was a looker.
As I hissed with the anger that I couldn't ever touch her, Jirou came in. There was a fear in his eyes. Like the kind when we found Yamaka dead.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Yomosa is going to be married soon." He replied.
"How long until that happens?" I asked.
"A week. Two weeks at most." He paused. "So your seduction tactic is useless? Let me feign shock."
"Just because that tactic is useless doesn't mean I don't have another plan." I said and smirked.
"Ruin a perfectly good wedding?" Jirou asked. Though it sounded like a statement more than a question.
"Of course."
"Hijunaki won't be happy."
"Now he won't have a choice."
When we told Hijunaki he didn't like my idea.
"You can be there before the wedding day, Rig." He argued.
"But not without drawing attention to ourselves."
"You will draw even more attention to yourselves." Hijunaki sighed. "But, as this is your first real mission in a long time, I will agree to it. You deserve to delve into your baser nature, as long as the mission is completed successfully. Besides, Jirou is the only one to be able to control you."
Jirou and I bowed. Then left on our mission.
* * *
The day was lovely. The wind blew through the trees, grass, and anything else it could blow through. I looked at my lovely wife, Yomosa, who looked into my eyes. We were both very happy. Luckily enough I had gotten rid of the blood, with the help of Jirou, so she didn't even question that I wasn't her beloved.
Since the main ceremony was done with, there was food and drink. I had only ever had food from Sajoki's tribe and Hijunaki's Palace. This food smelt different but not bad.
"I didn't think you'd be so interested in that food today." Yomosa said and smiled at me. I could tell that she couldn't be unhappy today. Which would have been sad if I had cared. Or if she had been my wife. Or if the universe had been reborn and I could fall in love again.
"I am interested in all foods today." I replied and kissed her. I had to practice with Jirou to get a loving kiss instead of my lustful kisses.
We pulled away at the same time, both smiling. Good, I hadn't mess that shit up. After a few more minutes the drinking and eating began. Hijunaki had never given me alcohol before. He had said that it would make me even more unreliable. I gasped as it felt like fresh blood was going down my throat. It made my heart race.
If this hadn't been a wedding, the humans wouldn't have laughed. Yomosa, with her goddess eyes, laughed the loudest.
The drinking and eating continued on for hours. It seemed like it would never end. For those hours, I felt like I was free from Hijunaki. Free from all the demons of my past. It was paradise.
After those hours we went into the tent and I decided to go for seduction. Not for physical release, but to subdue her. I heard a wolf growl and decided that it would be best to change my plans. Damn Jirou.
"What was that?" Yomosa asked and pretended to grab me in fear. She was pushing up against me, begging me to consummate the marriage. But I couldn't. Jirou would tell Hijunaki and then I would see what happens after death.
Yomosa noticed my pause and pushed away. "Who are you? What did you do with my husband?" She then raised her hand to hit me.
I easily blocked her fist and grabbed her. "I am your husband. The man you were going to marry is dead." I said with a smile.
She kicked me in my human balls and that distracted me enough for her to run for freedom. Away from the fate I was doomed to. I shifted into a wolf and leapt at her. She tried to dodge me but failed.
As I held her down she yelled at me, "Obake!"
My wolf form smiled and then stopped as we struggled. I to subdue her. She to run away. As the struggled went on, I felt growing respect for Yomosa. She was fighting something not human, an obake, and she wouldn't stop. I didn't know why, but it got me hard. Hard in a metaphorical sense as I made sure my forms didn't have such a vulnerable area again.
After what seemed like hours, but was only five minutes at most, I had knocked Yomosa out. Jirou then walked in.
"Injured." He said. "But she's still alive."
With that we went back to Hijunaki's Palace. I was glad I had completed a mission and that I would, hopefully, regain Hijunaki's favor.
* * *
While the room I was in now outdid the wedding in every way, it seemed uglier. It seemed more like a cage than any form of beauty. But there was only one ray of light. And she was asleep on the couch.
Yomosa would be taken by Hijunaki very soon and then I would finally gain his favor. She started to stir and her eyes slowly opened. I knew what she was thinking, because I had felt the same way many times. She'd open her eyes and realize she was in a nightmare that she couldn't wake up from.
What I hadn't counted on was the scream. I rushed over to her and covered her mouth. I saw her eyes widen as she saw me in one of my non-shapes. I now tended to go to those when I was nervous. The non-shapes were a combination of many different forms. For her sanity I shifted to my usual human male form.
Yomosa calmed down slightly, I removed my hand from her mouth, but I could feel the hate radiating from her eyes.
"I'm not the enemy here." I finally said to her.
"You killed my husband and kidnapped me." She spat. "Tell me how you're not my enemy."
"I was following orders." I tried to explain to her. Though, with her spunk, she deserved a better explanation. "For my continued existence I have to serve Hijunaki."
"How did you get into such a debt?" Yomosa asked. She seemed to be calming down, if only because she realized she couldn't win.
I hissed. The memories of my creation made my blood burn. "He created me." I explained. "I have no choice but to follow his orders. I can only disobey so much. Because I angered the weather goddess Akumie I wasn't allowed to leave the Palace for thousands of years."
"He didn't kill you?"
"Why would he? I am too valuable." I said and we both looked down. Even though sadness and pity were on her face, things hadn't changed between us. I knew this because fear and hate radiated more strongly from her expression.
The doors opened on their own and Hijunaki stuck his head through. Though the room could fit him comfortably, he chose not to enter. And I was glad he didn't.
I bowed and said, "Hijunaki, here is Yomosa. The woman you have longed for."
Hijunaki turned to look at Yomosa and flicked his tongue in and out quickly.
"Come, Yomosa, we have much to do together." He said with tenderness in his voice. If I didn't know how he had felt about Yamaka, I would've thought he was faking it.
Yomosa stood up and walked slowly towards him. When she had left the room, Hijunaki winked at me and went to guide Yomosa to his chambers.
Waiting for something to end is always the hardest part. Such as when I had been tortured after I had angered Akumie. Waiting for Hijunaki to finish with Yomosa was like that. But there was some other feeling, too.
I thought about it for awhile and finally agreed what it was. Jealousy. I hated that Hijunaki got Yomosa and not me. She was the peak of physical perfection and her bravery was remarkable. My jailer did not deserve such a wonder. Maybe he wouldn't like her and give the gem to me.
The sun set and rose before Hijunaki came back. I stood up in one of my non-shapes and bowed to him. I stood back up and looked at Hijunaki's angry face.
"Was there a problem, Hijunaki?" I asked him.
"Of course there was a problem!" Hijunaki yelled. "She was not submissive, nor did she obey my orders."
"How did you bed Yamaka?"
"I stole her as I did Yomosa." He replied. "She did offer her body to me upon our first night, unlike Yomosa."
I wondered why Hijunaki expected Yomosa to be submissive. He knew that she had fought back upon capture.
"What will you do with her now?" I asked.
"She has no use for me now!" He hissed. "Kill her and I will find a more suitable mate for myself."
With that he slithered away. Probably back to his chambers.
I walked to where Yomosa was. Upon reaching a special holding chamber in front of Hijunaki's chambers, I paused. She was a wonderful female human. She could fight and it was extremely saddening that she would be killed. By me. She would die hating me.
I entered the chambers and looked Yomosa in the eyes. My next thought was of how Yomosa would react to me capturing and then killing her.

* * *

Dead Beat (Jim Butcher)
Title: Dead Beat
Series: The Dresden Files
Author: Jim Butcher
Released: 2005
Rating: 5/5
Basic Plot: Karrin Murphy is the head of SI and Harry's good friend. So when a killer vampire threatens to destroy Murphy's reputation unless Harry does her bidding, he has no choice. The vampire wants the Word of Kemmler (whatever that is) and all the power that comes with it. Now Harry is in a race against time -- and six merciless necromancers -- to find the Word before Chicago experiences a Halloween night to wake the dead.
Necromancy
Necromancy is the main focus of this entry in the series. The Word of Kemmler is a book by Kemmler who was the famous necromancer that was the cause behind both World Wars. Necromancy is shown to be evil, even when used with good intentions. Harry does admit that it can be used for good, but is still uneasy about the subject. I like that this novel shows different sides to necromancy and lets you form your own opinions.
Hints of Romance
I am a big shipper of Harry Dresden and Karrin Murphy. Now don't tell me that I ship anyone together, because there is evidence in this book for the pairing. Harry reacts like he's harboring a deep dark secret when people ask him about Murphy. As for Murphy...I think she likes him. Though both have been too shy to do anything yet.
Sue
The best part of this book HAS to be Sue being brought to life. Who is Sue? Why a Tyrannosaurus Rex! And Harry Dresden rides her and also uses her to fight zombies and the like! I was jumping up in glee at this part. A Zombie Dinosaur! Sue did 'die' by the end of the novel, but she was great while she was undead.
Final Thoughts
This is a good entry in The Dresden Files series. It has a mystery that overlaps the whole novel. And little things (like Polka) are important by the end. The only thing I think could've been left out was Butters thinking Harry was gay. I'm not against gays, but this was a reference to Harry not being with a woman in awhile. I admit it gave me a chuckle, but it was out of left field.

Fringe "Everything In Its Right Place" Review
A shapeshifter Canaan, a blue balled Lincoln Lee, and Bolivia!
My Week with Marilyn (2011)
Title: My Week with Marilyn
Based on the Books: My Week with Marilyn AND The Prince, the Showgirl and Me
Book By: Colin Clark
Director: Simon Curtis
Starring: Michelle Williams, Eddie Redmayne, and Kenneth Branagh
Rated: R
Released: 2011
Personal Rating: 4.5/5
Oscars: 2 Nominations
Basic Plot: Colin Clark, an employee of Sir Laurence Olivier's, documents the tense interaction between Olivier and Marilyn Monroe during production of The Prince and the Showgirl.
Made Me Slightly Interested in Marilyn Monroe
I had heard about Marilyn before, of course. But this movie gave me my first interest in her. This should be credited to Michelle Williams, as her acting is superb. Of course I'm not obsessed with her, by any means, but I am now interested in learning more about her.
Emma Watson
I am a Harry Potter fan. So, of course, I saw all the movies more than once (I highly abused Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince). And Emma Watson played Hermione Granger who is a book smart girl. It was nice to see her playing a completely different character. This shows that she's not limited to her Harry Potter fame, and can actually do shit!
Behind the Scenes
This movie focuses on some behind the scenes things. The main one deals with getting Marilyn Monroe able to act. And, really, that's what is being fought against in this film. But don't take that to mean that you'll learn much about what goes on behind the sets on movies.
Final Thoughts
This isn't the kind of movie I usually watch, nor am I that familiar with Marilyn. But, I still enjoyed the movie a lot! Michelle Williams and Emma Watson were both lookers in this movie. The music was good to set the mood and it was a good homage. I would highly suggest you see this movie. I'm sure those who think something is missing can write their own fanfiction to fill the 'holes'.

I'm Han Solo (Star Wars Kinect)
I know I should be angry about this. I should be in an uproar about how George Lucas ruined the series yet again. Besides Star Wars passing its Zeist a LONG time ago: this is really funny!
This is a game to have fun with. In fact, just with this one song, I'd like a Star Wars dancing game. Or maybe that's my insanity talking.
I really don't know why there is such a big uproar about this. It's a funny thing in a game. I expected a few people to be angry about it on the internet, then I saw something on X-Play or Attack of the Show.
Really people? Are you going to complain about each bad thing George Lucas does? This 'bad thing' is really not that big. Nothing to get worried over.
Now excuse me as I dance to this.

John Connor (Where Will You Go)
This is a "character study" of the character John Connor from the Terminator series.
An unnamed narrator (who is not Cameron, Sarah Connor, Derek Reese, Riley Dawson, or Katherine Connor) tells John that he is acting like the Leader of the Resistance Against Skynet. In reality he does that act for show. The unnamed narrator reminds John to be strong. He/she tells him that the ones holding him up might die (so he'll have to remain strong without them), that he can't escape his destiny, and that there are good things about his destiny.

Sushi, Sake, and Tanuki: Shinto 3

Harvey's Top 10 Reasons (DOS)
I am very much in support of gay rights. And it's not because I hate the Catholic Church. It's just I view non-straights as PEOPLE. So when I read something about Linda Harvey making a list of the Top 10 Reasons Christian Kids Should Skip Day of Silence (a pro-gay rights day, participants don't talk representing the LGBT community).
I first heard about it in THIS article (I suggest you read it).
Below I will list each "reason" and then say why it's complete bullshit. Here we go:
1.) A silent protest in support of immoral, God-dishonoring behavior is in itself profoundly deceptive. All sexual behavior outside man/woman marriage is sinful in God’s eyes. Why should Christian students and teachers be in the position of accommodating this flagrant violation of their principles?
Let's ignore the obvious point that homosexuality isn't immoral. I'm going to go to the position of a teacher. A teacher is meant to teach and to create a calming environment (doesn't always apply to college professors). They aren't supposed to push their religion (or lack of). And, wouldn't you know it, those of the LGBT community need a calming environment just as much as a Christian.
2.) Any explicit or implicit message encouraging teens and even younger students to experiment freely with homosexual behavior is not “social justice” or “tolerance,” but actually, child corruption.
Listen, you don't know what your sexuality is without experimenting. Some kids will try not being straight and find out that they are really straight. This is FAR from 'child corruption'. Myself, it took some time for me to accept/realize that I am sexually attracted to both men and women.
3.) Allowing classroom silence to honor the Day of Silence unleashes tremendous peer pressure for students and even teachers to endorse sexual immorality, or be considered “enemies” of those peers and teachers proudly involved in homosexuality. This puts people of faith in the position of violating Christian doctrine through tacit approval (Romans 16:17-18; Ephesians 5:11). They are also intimidated into self-censoring their First Amendment rights.
If you don't participate in DOS there's nothing against that. It's a whole 'nother thing if you pick on gay students on ANY DAY. And people like to misunderstand the First Amendment. ESPECIALLY if they're trying to push an agenda. Like not saying "fire" in a theater or joke about hijacking a plane (while you're on a plane). For me, personally, I avoid talking about politics with my Dad and abortion with my Mom. This isn't 'taking away my First Amendment rights', it's being polite!
4.) The Day of Silence encourages students to nurture prejudiced, hostile and bigoted attitudes against Christians and others with traditional moral beliefs, and to spread inaccurate and harmful information.
This pisses me off so much. Just because someone is Pro-Rights doesn't mean they are trying to destroy all Christians. Hell, there are some gays who are Christians themselves! And whenever someone uses the term 'traditional moral beliefs' they mean the beliefs held by their particular faith.
5.) Using legitimate concerns about bullying and teen suicide to advance the promotion of homosexuality in schools is educational malpractice. It’s totally unnecessary to stop bullying and prevent harm to students, and Christians should not be a party to this gross distortion of a genuine problem. No one needs to embrace homosexuality or gender confusion in order to prevent bullying, but GLSEN routinely takes this deceitful position.
I am not sure of what she's saying in this one. I am assuming she's saying that kids being bullied because they aren't straight isn't a big deal. Unfortunately this isn't true. Homosexuals are bullied (sometimes to the extent the person kills themselves) and sometimes killed.
6.) Teachers know harassment when they see it. They can simply say, “Cut it out!” But GLSEN and the Day of Silence pressure teachers to amend this to, “Cut it out, because you are only permitted to say good things about homosexuality!” When did we all sign up to become public-relations agents for the good reputation of homosexuality? This viewpoint discrimination forces an untruthful and ungodly agenda on staff members, when stopping verbal harassment can be accomplished without becoming champions of “gay” behavior.
Whenever anyone says 'ungodly' it's just idiotic. So I will ignore it. What I will say is: it doesn't matter if you are supporting gays or not, hate speech isn't good. Yes, I even extend that to unneeded bashing of Christians. Except when they say hate speech against gays.
7.) There are legitimate lessons students should learn about prejudice and bias. But Day of Silence promoters deceptively link moral objections about homosexuality to racial discrimination or anti-Semitism in an attempt to legitimize the pro-homosexual agenda and portray homosexuals as perennial victims, while disguising the harmfulness and risk.
I like that Harvey starts this one with 'there are legitimate lessons students should learn about prejudice and bias' and proceeds to prove that point. And homosexuals are victims. In the USA they aren't allowed to marry and lots of other things that make them second class citizens. Even when they go out to die for their country!
8.) Teachers have used the DOS to inappropriately become classroom advocates and models of this deviant behavior. In one Ohio school, a teacher used a PowerPoint presentation to tell students about her “gay” support and even disclosed to students that she was a lesbian, without prior notice to parents or permission from her principal.
This reason nearly made me to lose my shit. Luckily I haven't drank tonight so my ranting was mainly calm. So, according to Harvey, a teacher has 'to give prior notice to parents or permission from her principal'. This makes zero sense. Being a lesbian is part of someone and nothing dangerous. Kids won't go all Children of the Corn because they found out about lesbians.
9.) The health and lifestyle risks of homosexuality are virtually never shared on the Day of Silence. Instead, students are given the deceitful impression that homosexuality is just as safe and worthy an identity as heterosexual dating and marriage.
This makes me think of when GAIDS, I mean AIDS, was first found. Let me tell you, any sexual activity (that has another person involved) has a risk (such as any STDs). Having gay sex doesn't involve more health risks than straight sex. Oh, and straight couples have butt sex too. I don't know what a lifestyle risk of homosexuality would be so I won't comment.
10.) The DOS message inhibits Christians from witnessing to their peers caught up in homosexuality or gender confusion. There is salvation through Jesus Christ and the hope of leaving this sin behind. Calling homosexuality a sin on the Day of Silence would be considered “hateful,” when it is actually God-honoring and respectful to the hearer. It may lead them to an eternal home with God. But that won’t happen if the truth is suppressed, which it always is on the Day of Silence. Stay home that day, and choose to witness on another, where perhaps you will have a fair chance of being heard.
Calling homosexuality a sin on ANY day (especially on a day celebrating the LGBT community) is just rude. Whenever a random person starts pushing ANY type of religion on me I get angry. Nothing to do with those who are anti-gay, just that the person is promoting something I think is false. It won't teach me jack shit, trust me. And Harvey saying you should skip school because of DOS is just plain stupid. Lessons are still taught that day.

Sushi, Sake, and Tanuki: Shinto 2
