Metis was the child Seitou and Kaliforna, the two leaders of Raven Hallow, that they kept. As the clan has a unique form of worship to their deity and dragonkind done by breeding dragons, it was rare that they kept any of their hatchlings.

Over the course of years, Metis slowly lost faith in her parents and believed that a new regime was in order. A feeling that was shared and made stronger by her friendship with Vornz. It was also a feeling that she hid from the majority of the clan.

But her icy heart eventually bled into some of her hatchlings. Those of her hatchlings that were affected became unhappy with any form of hierarchy and tended to live solitary lives.
