Hogwarts Legacy Deserved Little Attention

Harry Potter used to be extremely popular. The fandom had a very diverse fanbase with some making the characters outwardly LGBTQ+. Something that the actual series never did. It was even believed that J.K. Rowling was a good person, though she made mistakes that allies make from time to time.

But then she came out as a trans-exclusionary radical feminist (terf) and things only got worse from there. So when Hogwarts Legacy was announced, it was instantly a controversial topic. Some people did reasonable things and others...well...they went far beyond the limits of sanity.

Myself, I don't believe in giving Terfing any money. Plus I don't have the hand control necessary to play the game. So I watched a playthrough of it.

Evil Dead Rise (Mini-Review)

Evil Dead Rise is the latest movie in the Evil Dead series. Beth decides to visit her sister Ellie after getting some news. A good night with her nieces and nephew turns sour when Ellie complains about Beth not being there when her husband left. Things take an even worse turn when a Deadite possesses Ellie. Now Beth is forced to find a way for her and Ellie's children to survive the hellish night. If surviving is even possible. Evil Dead Rise was released in 2023. It was directed by Lee Cronin. It stars Lily Sullivan, Alyssa Sutherland, and Morgan Davies.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie (Mini-Review)

The Super Mario Bros. Movie is an adaptation of the Mario games as well as related properties. Mario and Luigi start their own plumbing business but soon encounter problems. Mario decides to help with a flooding situation in Brooklyn which leads to them finding themselves separated in a strange world. Now Mario must find his brother and return home. But to do that he must first help Princess Peach defeat Bowser. The Super Mario Bros. Movie was released in 2023. It was directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic. It stars Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, and Jack Black.

Renfield is a horror comedy that focuses on Dracula's servant. Decades ago Renfield became Dracula's familiar but now he recognizes the toxicity of their relationship. The problem is figuring out how to finally become his own person. Things are made even more complicated with his growing feelings towards a police officer, Dracula's plans for world domination, and a mob seeking revenge. Renfield was released in 2023. It was directed by Chris McKay. It stars Nicholas Hoult, Awkwafina, and Ben Schwartz.
