Good Overrides the Bad
Before this film's release there was a shitload of complaining about stuff like a lack of people that aren't white skinned. One person that worked on the film complained about how hard his job was as an excuse of why the characters were white and looked like they did. I will agree non-white characters as the ones that take center stage would've been awesome, but the stuff this film does right way overrides the bad. If a film can make me feel like bursting into tears multiple times it has done something miraculous.

Sing-Along Version
I went with a new friend to the Sing-Along version of the movie. I didn't sing just because I don't like doing so in public (though I did take voice lessons before so have sung in public in the past) and the friend was someone I just met. However, there was a little snowflake that indicated which words were being sung at the moment and that give me a great rush of nostalgia. Some children in the theater were dancing which was adorable.

Elsa is Just Awesome
I heard in the original script that Elsa was going to be the villain and that would've been fun to see. But Elsa in this film, aka the final version, is great. I can relate to her need for isolation and the fact that she has to hide who she really is. I have to hide things from my Dad who I live with and it's the same basic isolation (though, luckily, I have great friends I can talk to which isn't an option for Elsa). People have pointed out that Elsa's story seems to be an allegory for those in the LGBTQ+ community and I can see that very clearly.

Final Thoughts
This was an amazing film and I'm so glad I got to see it in theaters. From the trailers I couldn't see myself liking the character of Olaf, but in the movie I cam to love him and I think he's just so adorable! He's so upbeat even in the worst of times that I can't help but want to give him a hug. If this film wins both of its nominations I will be more than ecstatic. This movie and Tangled are my favorite films from Disney recently. The song "Let it Go" always makes me tear up so that's why I didn't sing that song in the Sing-Along version for that part.

The Eternal Heart: Angelic Savior 3

John Connor had been spending hours on how he ran the Resistance. I listened to every syllable that came out of his mouth and took in how lovely his voice sounded to my ears. It took all my control to fully concentrate on what was being said. It surprised me that it was only me he was talking to about this. Where was Kate and why did I suddenly care?

The room that we were now in was a sort of storage area for spare parts. The parts were categorized by what they could be used for so that repairs could get done faster. And when your enemy was Skynet, you sure as hell had to work as fast as you could.

I was sitting on the dirty floor and John was leaning against a wall while talking.

John was now talking about how he looked out for Greys.

"They are really the worst thing about this war." John said, his voice heavy with grief. "Humans should be united against an enemy that threatens us all, but some are siding with an enemy that will kill them when its goal of conquest is completed."

"They are probably just scared or maybe they've been tricked into helping Skynet." I replied as I remembered how Skynet had fooled me.

I didn't want to know the exact numbers of Resistance fighters that I had killed because I could hardly sleep at night already.

John shook his head and said, "What some of them have tried to do...they know exactly what they are doing. We checked before we executed them."

"Do you like having that responsibility?" I asked.

"No, that's why I have others vote on the matter. I don't mind killing Terminators, I've been doing that since I was young, but I don't like to end the life of a human. It's something only Skynet should be doing. We should all be loyal to each other."

"If you don't mind killing Terminators, why did you save me?"

"Before Judgment Day a Terminator came back in time to save me. Well, two did but they looked the same."

"What did you call them?"

John looked off into the distance and a small smile formed on his face. "I called them Uncle Bob and I watched them both die. Once because he had to make sure there was no chance that Skynet was going to be a possibility and the next time he appeared he died saving me."

I put a hand on his shoulder at the end of the story. The fact that John referred to the Uncle Bobs as 'he' surprised me. It showed that John did think of Terminators as humans. Even ones that had never been born.

"Anyways, that's enough for today." John replied and put his hand on mine.

I didn't know how to ask him what I wanted as I felt his hand on mine. I had been dreaming about him and didn't want him to know I thought of him that way nearly constnatly when I slept. While I was awake I could admire his leadership and morality, but when I dreamed my need for his touch overtook me.

John finally turned his head to look at me. "Is there something you want to ask me?"

I looked and noticed he had let go of my hand and I removed my hand from his shoulder.

"What do you plan to do after?" I asked.

"After the war?" John said and laughed. "I don't know if I'll make it that far."

"Nothing can kill you." I said and laughed at the thought of anything taking John down. "But I was referring to what you're going to do now that the lesson for today is over."

The seconds while I waited for his answer felt like eternity.

"If you need me to help you with anything else today I will." I said trying to make him answer.

"I don't need your help for the rest of today," John replied. "But you'll be on guard duty tonight and you should rest before you go."

"Who will I be on guard duty with?" I asked and wished that I was going on guard duty alone.

But the Resistance, the real Resistance, didn't like having only one person on guard duty at G and R Base.

"Barnes." John replied simply and I let out a sigh.

I had nothing bad to say about Barnes' allegiance to both John and the Resistance, but he didn't like Terminators at all. That meant that he hated me.

This would be a very long night.

New Sweetheart Warador and Antlephore

First off: these are adorable!

The one on the right is the Antlephore and the one on the left is the Warador.

This is now February so that means that there will probably be more cute things appearing soon!

As well as the Pandemic! Maybe...wasn't really active on the site last year so I don't know how that has evolved since the first two times.

American Horror Story (Season 3)

Show: American Horror Story

Season: 3

Alternate Season Title: Coven

Episodes: 13

Created By: Ryan Murphy

Released: 2013-2014

Rating: 4/5

Basic Plot: Problems arise in the Coven and a new Supreme will rise.
-----------------------------------------------------

How It All Holds Together
What I find as a problem for American Horror Story, at least for now, is the fact that it can never hold a season together. In the first season (Murder House) it was the fact that the finale didn't feel like a solid ending, with the second season (Asylum) it was the fact that it tried to tell too much and felt stretched out near the end, and this one the finale felt a little flat. There was horror in this finale and plot lines were tied up, including the Supreme getting chosen, but this season deserved a better finale.

Very Concise, All Things Considered
This has been my favorite season of American Horror Story so far. Why is that? This one held itself up so well, had a very interesting story to tell, and had rules that it followed for the most part (Spalding, what are you? and Queenie, how did you get out of that situation?). I was more than excited to tune in each week to see how some of my favorite characters were doing (one of my favs this season was Misty).

Life Lessons
I like to think I'm good at certain social issues. This doesn't mean I always have the most PC mouth as I see a difference in being a decent human being and being afraid of certain words because they MIGHT offend and not taking notice if they actually do. But I can tell when a show is being sexist, racist, ect. while overall enjoying the show because the good far outweighs the bad (this doesn't mean I don't think improvements need to be made). When I watch this series I'm looking to be entertained so am shocked when people really think this show will be a positive influence on some issues. How American Horror Story is going so far it isn't going to make a stance (like: rape isn't needed to tell a horror story) on any issue unless it adds to the story in some way, but it will sure as hell entertain me for around an hour each week.

Final Thoughts
This season was the best one yet and I really wished it had a better finale for it. Lily Rabe graces us with her presence again, this time as Misty Day the witch who can bring creatures back from the dead. For the most part I didn't like Queenie since she swung wildly from one side to the other, all because she didn't know where she belonged. That's not a character type I usually enjoy. The rape at the beginning of this season didn't have the payoff I thought it should, so I would've loved for that scene to have been changed. Overall this season was highly enjoyable with little spooks and some good characters.

Well Timed Sale on Subeta

Info from HERE
A day or two ago Subeta finally fixed the issues that had been going on for awhile. Not only did us users get the site fixed but we also got a new and cute free gift for all our hard work of waiting and not leaving the site.

Now there is a Cash Shop Sale where things are 30% off. They are doing a mass retirement of Cash Shop items and that's why the sale is there.

For those wondering: Cash Shop items retiring does not always equal a sale like this.

The bobbleheads set that are currently in the shop will be replaced by a loyalty system thing. I am unsure at this time what that is.

This sale seems very well timed since they had to fix things with the webservers and the Free Gift is one part of the appeasement by the staff. So a sale will make even more people feel happy.

And, yes, you do get a random cash shop bonus item when using paypal to pay for your purchase.

The sale ends this Monday.

Subeta Deals with the Problem

Info from HERE
A little bit back I talked about how I had trouble logging into Subeta and it seems now they have gotten to work on this problem.

They did have a problem with a contract that helps them manage their web servers. And, with a website like Subeta, you need to be aware that a lot of people will go on your site.

I am extremely happy about this and hope it makes the logging in problem a distant memory. Also that it helps other problems that may crop up around the site.

The only personal problems I had were having to refresh pages to have them completely load and the site being unavailable for me for a little bit.

UPDATE This new FREE GIFT is now being given out as a thanks for members' patience:
