Title: Catching Fire
Series: The Hunger Games Trilogy
Author: Suzanne Collins
Released: 2009
Rating: 4.5/5
Basic Plot: Katniss Everdeen is brought into the arena again after she inadvertently started a rebellion after the previous hunger games.
The Clock Arena
I absolutely love the arena in this book. Besides providing physical challenges it provides psychological challenges. The physical challenges are interesting and you can really feel the danger that the characters face. There is technically only one psychological challenge but I am going to also count the relationships between the characters. In the first book there is not really any relationships between the characters except viewing each other as contestants.
Buildup to a Revolution
Most of the book is building up to a revolution. It shows every day people and how they react. The government is shown to be even more cruel. Well, President Snow mostly. In fact, it seems to be President Snow who is the only real cruel one. As District 12 changes and there's a rebellion in District 8 you can tell the Capitol is afraid. Oh, and the Peacekeepers shooting an old man in the head!
Rumors of District 13
Two refugees from District 8 inform Katniss that District 13 is still 'alive'. Katniss assumes it's just a dumb hope. Ever since the first book talked about District 13 I thought it might still exist. But one point against it existing is the fact that it hasn't fought against the Capitol. By the end you find out that it exists but not why it hasn't fought against the Capitol.
Final Thoughts
The reason I gave this book a 4.5/5 instead of a 5/5 is the fact that some important plot points you can understand long before Katniss does. Such as the mockingjay watch that someone shows Katniss in the Capitol. All in all, though, this is a good sequel. It expands on the previous book and raises the stakes. Plus, Collins isn't afraid to kill off great characters to help the story.

Note: NAZILLA IS A WOMAN!
"I am not going. She will be there." Samara said.
"Don't worry, just because Glau is there doesn't mean you'll actually have to deal with her." I replied.
"She is my ex, Naz. She's my big ex."
"You're not being logical, Sam." I said and waited for the conversation to go exactly the same way again. It had been going the same way for hours. For an M-4 it wasn't a long time, but this mission had to start soon.
"You're a Machine now, Nazilla, you can't understand what this means to me." Samara said. Well, at least that was showing an improvement. Improvement meaning change.
"I do have a human side to me, Samara, and it's confusing that part too."
"You can't make me go on a mission that is probably not going to lead to The Net." As Samara said that I thought of a loophole. A loophole that would play on Samara's fears to make her move forward.
I crossed my arms and sighed. "How about you wait outside Playful Ballet in case I need a quick getaway?"
Samara looked at me and I could see that she was confused. She didn't want to meet Glau, an ex of hers, and yet she didn't want me to die again. Hell, i didn't want to die again. Though death didn't seem so scary for me now.
After a minute of waiting Samara said, "Seems like a fair comprimise to me."

"Are you sure you want to go in there alone?" Samara asked as she drove behind the building.
"I am." I said and got out when the car stopped. "Just be here when I come out."
Samara nodded and I turned to go into the building. I checked my clothing and then entered the building. I knew that if I accted correctly the people would think that I was a cleaning lady. Not just because of my acting but because I was dressed like one.

Silent Hill: Sinner's Reward (comic)
Writer: Tom Waltz
Illustrator: Steph Stamb
Published: 2008
This comic was suggested by Linkara (on his show Atop the Fourth Wall) as the only good Silent Hill comic. From the Silent Hill comics I have read, this is the only one that feels like it actually takes place in Silent Hill. Since this is a comic, I won't do a proper review.
So let's get started:
The Plot
Jack runs away with his boss' wife (Jill). They, of course, eventually get pulled into the town of Silent Hill. Jack meets this girl who he takes with him while looking for his wife.
The artwork for this comic adds to the atmosphere. Plus, the ending (and why it ends that way) is just breathtaking. Is it happy? Is it sad? I would say inbetween: bittersweet.
If you are looking for a proper Silent Hill comic: this is the one to check out.
