Thanksgiving is based off of a fake trailer in Grindhouse (2007). A year ago there was a massacre on Thanksgiving during a Black Friday sale. In the present day Jessica feels guilt for inadvertently causing the massacre. If not for her letting her friends into the store early, all the deaths could have been avoided. But her guilt isn't all she has to worry about. A killer, nicknamed the Carver, is going after all those involved in the massacre. Which happens to include Jessica and her friends. Thanksgiving was released in 2023. It was directed by Eli Roth. It stars Patrick Dempsey, Addison Rae, and Milo Manheim.

The Marvels (Mini-Review)

The Marvels is the latest entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Monica Rambeau and Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) both examine odd space events when their powers become intertwined. Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) finds her powers also intertwined with the others. Now the three of them must discover why this is happening and how to stop it. While they struggle to figure those questions out, Dar-Benn threatens the galaxy with her quest for revenge. The Marvels was released in 2023. It was directed by Nia DaCosta. It stars Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, and Zawe Ashton.

Dune: House Corrino by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson is a prequel novel set in the Dune Universe. Emperor Shaddam Corrino IV's Amal plot, a secret plan to make artificial spice melange, is nearing its end. Feeling invincible, he decides to become violent to anyone who dares hoard spice. But what he doesn't count on is Hidar Fen Ajidica having his own plots. Plots that will betray not only Shaddam but his own people.

It's a Wonderful Knife is a slasher parody of It's a Wonderful Life (1946). Winnie Carruthers saves her town from a serial killer, the insane and corrupt Henry Waters, one Christmas. A year later Winnie still is tormented by those scars while the rest of Angel Falls has moved on with their lives. After wishing she was never born, Winnie sees how her beloved town would have fallen without her. Now Winnie must once again kill Henry Waters and save her town. It's a Wonderful Knife was released in 2023. It was directed by Tyler MacIntyre. It stars Jane Widdop, Jess McLeod, and Joel McHale.

The Alan Wake sequel answered a bunch of questions while giving many new ones. Such as there is even further evidence that Thomas Zane is not hero we once thought he was. And what is Waldin Door?

The game also gave us one killer of a cliffhanger.

Throughout the game Saga Anderson's motivation has been to save her daughter, Logan, from the story. The story killed the innocent girl and Saga did her best to set things right. Before the credits Saga calls Logan but we never see if anyone picks up.

Five Nights at Freddy's is an adaptation of the popular horror franchise. Mike, even years later, reels from the abduction of his younger brother. He thinks that by going into his dreams that he can figure out what happened all those years ago. But waking life needs to be focused on too. Mike retains custody of Abby, his younger sister, and needs a job to keep it. Hence, with no other options, he takes the security guard position at abandoned Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. When he contacts the ghost children in his dreams, he thinks they are the way to find his brother. Five Nights at Freddy's was released in 2023. It was directed by Emma Tammi. It stars Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, and Piper Rubio.
