Awhile ago an otherworldly danger attacked Sornieth. Demons from the stars had begun an invasion with a growing stronghold in the Plaguebringer's domain. They take over the minds of dragons while their hosts become prisoners in their own body.

It was Kali who managed to free herself and eventually warn Seitou of the invasion. Soon after Elfangor was assigned to create a team whose main mission would be to fight these demons.

Before the Mirror dragon could officially form a team, there was a matter that had to be dealt with. In an accident that happened on that mission Jake, Rachel, Cassie, Tobias, Marco, Axx, Mary Graham, and Jorah gained the ability to change into any creature they wanted to. This was believed to be a boon to fighting the demons and so they became known as the Dracomorphs.

Their actions both proved themselves to their clan as well as the Shadowbinder being forced to exiling the clan. If not for the Plaguebringer accepting them, Seitou's Clan would have been forced off of the continent.

Birchurawkp found that the offspring of Dracomorphs with Primal eyes would retain some of their parents' powers to a lesser degree. Sometimes they would be able to change partially into another creature (such as changing their features) or be able to change completely into one other creature.

Once Seitou saw the potential of soldiers to fight the strange demons, he ordered that these offspring be specially trained to protect the parts of Sornieth that his clan couldn't.
