Double Crossed and Unraveled

Paid Promotion
This memoir recounts the relationships that a young Kelsey experienced, such as how her whole world got turned upside down when she met Howie. It touches on her complicated relationship with her mother, and how the love she developed for Cole nearly cost her life. The plot makes a full circle from when the author was younger to the adult version of herself, as she grieved the loss of her mother and had to look back at the past to be able to call things what they really were. This book chronicles the author's unraveling through poetry, letters, and recollection as an outlet to heal her past traumas. It’s easy to get lost in this "riveting" story that's difficult to set down once you begin reading. Carlee has also authored a book of poetry, The Double Yellow Line, and an epistolary novel that follows her relationship with the character Cole from her memoir years later. 2025 will see the release of her fourth book.

Captain Martin Walker and Jimmy: The Dangers of Playing Hero

We play video games for a variety of reasons. One popular reason is to feel like a hero. In our ordinary lives there isn't a lot of room to be a hero. In The Elder Scrolls V:Skyrim, though, you can help save the world from a world ending dragon. In Alan Wake 1 and 2 you can help slow down an eldritch horror from gaining its full power.

And who can blame people for wanting to feel loved and knowing they have a big impact on the world around them?

No one.

However, there are games that lure players into a false sense of security by the fact we tend to be the hero of the story. Then they turn around and painfully prove how wrong we were.

Mouthwashing and Spec Ops: The Line are two such cases.

Skyrim: Do'Aka (Part 62)

I deal out a Prince's vengeance.

Skyrim: Do'Aka (Part 61)

I collect materials so I can talk with a Daedric Prince.
