What was the inspiration for writing Escape from Z Island?

I've been a huge fan of The Walking Dead since I was young and I've always wanted to make my own post-apocalyptic story and share my vision with the world.

What was the writing process like for Escape from Z Island?

I honestly just went with the flow. Whatever idea came to mind is what I wrote. Then I would go back and fill in the smaller details as needed.
