Burk Arrmann finds himself in a dark, demented, demonic existence, being neither dead or living. The Demon of Chaos and Destruction, Ahriman, has taken Burk's existence to use in collecting souls of those who owe Ahriman for worldly favors. Burk finds himself killing Ahriman's minions in many perverse and demented ways. He himself is subject to pain and suffering in the realm of demons while also finding their sick dark humor of torturing the living to suit his demeanor. This is his forever, there is no escape and there are demons who wish to see him suffer for their own pleasure. It is one hell of an eternal existence for Burk, there is no way out.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Mini-Review)

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse shows the continuing adventures of Miles Morales. Miles is still going to school while keeping the streets safe. On the day of his teacher-parent conference, he is delayed when the Spot tries stealing an ATM machine. Figuring the villain was nothing serious, he thinks there is nothing to worry about. But Miles doesn't realize how deep the Spot's hatred for him goes. His life only gets more complicated from there. Miles' reunion with Gwen Stacy leads to him finding out about a secret society made up of Spider-Man variants. But what happens when Miles' views make him more enemies than friends? Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was released in 2023. It was directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. It stars Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Vélez, and Jake Johnson.

The Boogeyman (Mini-Review)

The Boogeyman is an adaptation of the short story of the same name by Stephen King. The Harper family is reeling from the loss of their mother. Their father is a therapist but the loss of his wife is making him close himself off. His two daughters are lost without him for support. Especially Sadie, the eldest daughter, who doesn't want to move on from her grief. The Harper family reels from even more tragedy when a patient shows up unexpectedly. The Boogeyman was released in 2023. It was directed by Rob Savage. It stars Sophie Thatcher, Chris Messina, Vivien Lyra Blair, and David Dastmalchian.
