Mortal Kombat (Mini-Review)
Mortal Kombat is an adaptation of the much beloved and violent video game series. This movie has no connection to the films released in 1995 and 1997. The movie follows the story of Shang Tsung who wishes to cheat his way to victory during the latest Mortal Kombat as there is a prophecy foretelling that Outworld will lose the tournament due to a descendant of Hasashi being a champion. Mortal Kombat was released in 2021. It was directed by Simon McQuoid. It stars Lewis Tan, Jessica McNamee, and Josh Lawson.

Machinima and Mortal Kombat
All I have to say is: Holy shit is Mortal Kombat: Legacy awesome! A lot of action and action and more action. But this isn't a review of the series (might do that after it's all completed) it's a look at Machinima.
Now Mortal Kombat: Legacy was released on Machinima.com today. It is, of course, a Mortal Kombat series on the web. Mortal Kombat is a video game series (for those of you that have been living under a rock the last couple of years) and it would be cheap and easy to do a series made up of graphics from the Mortal Kombat games (which is what Machinima is) so why did they choose to do live action instead?
I don't know why the decision was made but I do know it wouldn't have looked as good if it had been. Machinima is usually done as comedy because that's how it works best. Video game graphics are good in video games, but when you do film with them they look funny.
While Mortal Kombat: Legacy isn't a serious web serie,s the action looks better as live action (at least in the first episode). People look like people and tiny things in a person's movement look more believable.
If you haven't watched it yet go HERE to watch Episode 1 of Mortal Kombat: Legacy.
